👏👏👏 Agree! I'm so thankful that they decided to give Ruyi to LSS because she literally is everything about Ruyi and I can't imagine anyone playing it better than her.

Same with LYN. I've been following his music career for a while now so when I knew he was first announced for the ML I was giddy LOL. I have watched bits and pieces of his drama but never sat through them. I knew that guy got it in him and I'm proud of his hard work!

She's been my favorite actress and still is for the longest time. I grew up watching her. Most of her dramas like Chinese Paladin 3, The Young Warriors (liked her story the most with peter ho), Fairies of Liao Zhao, Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre (even though she was only a cameo), The Vigilant in Masks (one of my rewatch fave from her), Scarlet Heart (funny how I only go back and rewatch the sad part), Sound of the Desert (a rewatch too), and Lost Love in Times (not my fave but I like to rewatch this one once in a while. Her movies, I've seen Badges of Fury, A moment of Love, and Brotherhood of Blades (one of my fave, but I wish her story was a little bit more fleshed out than just being ML's love interest). I'm not too keen on modern dramas nor the one she filmed so I didn't watch those. How about you?

Didn't realize that VIPs gets two eps per day on IQIYI. Woke up realizing that was the case and I didn't have to wait. Ugh! Today's eps were so good! Got me feeling all the angst and love. I'll say again and a gazillion time, but LYN and LSS are amaaazing together! Now, I'm also loving and am emotionally invested in everyone in the squad; they all have their own characteristics and traits. Not gonna lie, I didn't like Chu Ye that much on first impression. Yang Ying, although a bit naive and a crybaby was less annoying or tolerable.

And now she ain't satisfied with the Empress position no more LOL. Girlie is trying to aim higher.

Their acting compliment each other so well. Having watched LSS for the longest time, her acting was never that bad and never the greatest, but here she be killing it with every emotion shown in her eyes - I'm definite it has to do with all her past experiences and in life. LYN is able to hold his own against LSS too which idk if LSS has a part of bringing his acting chops out of him or he's just giving his damn hardest or a bit of both. Also, the director seems to be doing a good job at directing.

I don't remember the time frame, but it should be in episode 10 when ML carved her the cat and she sat looking at it. She asked herself that question and then we get flashbacks and she realized that it was ML who tampered with the evidence. Plus, ML was the one who also chose to have her identity hidden as the police of Chu among his liu dao brothers.

It's ML. He released that info to protect the delegation, his friends, and lastly FL. He knew that if the Scarlet Guard found out that the work was her doing, they were going to come after her.

Ren Xi was always playing around with Ning Yuan Zhou, but she finally felt something for him in ep 10. I'd be the same too.

I think you should call his sweetheart Pei instead LOL. I doubt NYX felt anything for her, but she'll definitely make Ren Xin more jealous in comparison to Chu Ye since Pei was from the past and someone all the boys thought would eventually be his girl before getting betrothed.

Can't believe ep 10 ended up at a cliff hanger! And, I'm actually really loving how much screen time our leads get together because usually we don't get that. I love how the leads are like onion whose feelings, past, and vulnerabilties gets shown when the onion is peeled with each ep. For ep 11 preview, I'm so glad Ning ge be standing up for his girl, got me teary cuz he understood very well how she must have felt 🥲.

I thought she was 5'8?...She's not as tall as Yang Mi but relatively close because of her long neckline. I know for sure that Tang Yan is taller than both though.

She's an assassin, but that doesn't mean she's completely emotionless. She's a human being so she's bound to have emotion whether it be hate or love. She only cut off those feelings or never acted on it because of the way how she grew up which was to survive. And, it's not like she wasn't showered with care and love. FL was protected and taught many things by the empress. She hasn't lost her humanity thus she can still care for people. I think the baby was an excuse from the empress to get her to actually find someone to love. She's seducing the ML for his perfect genes yet not knowing that his sincerity is what caused her to fall for him.
