Yes to another Richard Li drama!

Ok, this mini drama was actually really good; 1st ep was kind of chaotic, but it eventually gets better. Leads had tons of scenes together. Richard Li never disappoints with gracing my screen - he does so well with this type of authoritive power character and I love it! And, I'll keep saying it, but Richard Li really needs a full length drama! FL was a little bit awkward with her character at the beginning, but she gets comfortable with each coming eps. The funniest characters went to Prince Chen and Minister Liu who had me LOL everytime with their lines and expressions! Also, I noticed that on Wetv's upload of this drama on youtube, the full vid length and regular eps BOTH had some uncut scenes so it might be better to watch both to see which scenes weren't included in the other.

Yes, he protects her but he still follows through with his plans like backup A, B, C which I like that. Me seeing if he puts her first, he would have dropped everything just to check and see if she was safe, but no, he makes arrangment to get her to safety while still executing his plans.

Yes, confusingly weird how the drama added that plot. Sighs, the restriction that gov* put on these dramas. I did read a bit of the novel, but the computer translated english version made me stop reading it so I never got that far besides the initial premise of FL explaining most of the stuffs at the beginning.

Xie Wei is legimately Duke Xue's firstborn as Xue Dingfei. He's royalty because his mom is Marquis Yan's older sister and Yan Lin's aunt while his dad (duke Xue) is the Empress Dowager's younger brother and uncle to the current emperor. The daughter was prematurely born so duke Xue was already having an affair with her mom before her mom took the title as his new wife making her children legimate. After Dingfei's supposedly death, there was internal rife and power struggle between the clans Yan and Xue. Rebel Lord Pingan is uncle to the current emperor from the paternal side and is trying to cause an internal fight with Yan and Xue to weaken the kingdom's defenses so that he can take over the throne.

I think FL realizes that he's too good for her and incompatible with her. He's a righteous person while she's flawed and he's straightforward about that too. She still cares and likes him, but holding back a bit. It's funny because I feel like FL has more feelings and chemistry with Yan Lin, but alas only as a friend.

I already knew he was going to aim for the bad guy because there's too many people on that mountain. He like Ning er unknowingly, but he still places her second from his plans as of now.
