Started this months ago and decided to give it another shot. Now on episode 10 and honestly, I'll probably just drop it.
So many scenes are DRAGGGGGED out, even at 2x speed 😭 The conversations go on forever without really adding much to the story.
I enjoy slow-paced dramas, including One Spring Night from the same director, so it's not the style that's the issue. This particular story is just boring and had no business being 16 episodes.
My advice? If you're a couple of episodes in and it's not grabbing you, I'd just drop it. It doesn't get any better.
After my third rewatch LOL, I've concluded that Flora was actually more problematic than Luke 😭
Luke had his flaws, OBVIOUSLY, but Flora's were much more subtle and damaging, imo.
Her communication was TERRIBLE. She constantly withheld information, lied when asked direct questions, and don't even get me started on the ex-boyfriend situ. And the assumptions, my goodness! The specialist role, his female friend, the bags in his car... she was constantly jumping to conclusions. And an apology? Don't expect one from Flora 😂
She doesn't want special treatment at work but gets upset when it's not given loooool. Also, she will run away, block you and steal the dog every time things get testy 😩 AND DON'T FORGET... the r/ship must be private until Flora decides, though she may get upset if you don't jump for joy at the sudden change of heart.
I think it's easier to paint Luke as toxic but most of the time he is being reactive. Also because the writers did a shoddy job of establishing timelines clearly, he always looks problematic...
I'm just saying, Luke is no villain, and Flora is no victim... it's just 2 people navigating love ❤️
Anyway, that aside, I love them both lol, flaws and all. It's probably the most realistic portrayal of love and relationships I've seen in any drama. Beautiful, painful, messy and very human.
2 episodes in and this horrible general has shot two children and set innocent people on fire... the show is doing a great job at making me hate him and I hope he dies a disgustingly painful death
im so over the redundant 2nd ML trope... it would be nice to have more dramas where the FL goes for the guy who treats her nicely and dotes on her from the start. wishful thinking i guess... 🤷🏾♀️
People simping the ML in comments is simply beyond my comprehension. Definitely the ML is a nice guy, but rather…
i think its nice to see such a flawed character rather than the 'saviour male lead' we usually get. this story is more realistic of relationships imo... heated moments, make-ups and break-ups, miscommunication, healing... whether we like it or not we are all flawed and Im sure could all do with a little therapy lol
nothing surprising about this drama...watchable but not a must watch. For me, the main couple lacks chemistry and Im rooting for the 2nd ML... (currently on episode 7) 🫠.
the english subtitles for this are a joke.... there are literally translatations available but they will just make up lines which add nothing to the dialogue. so im wondering if that bits i dont understnd are even translated correctly. very annoying but typical of Netflix
