'I personally rate a drama based on the acting, the plot, the production value, how much I enjoyed it, and so on, so I do tend to be a bit judgy when I notice people are giving dramas higher ratings because it has a popular actor'...
i rate in a similar way, but that doesnt mean our ratings would be the same... im sure some ppl hate some of your favs... and thats okay! That's the point of art... IT'S SUBJECTIVE.

ouch... no allowance for character development? lol. it's understood later in the drama why he is like that, and I actually think its a good representation of people, i.e. no character is black or white... we are all different shades of grey :)
I would recommend giving it a go, as 1 episode feels a little light to make a full accessment... just a thought 🤷🏾♀️

but even in your rebuttal there is some contradiction... somehow because you started watching dramas in 2010, u imply that makes you more discerning in ur assessment of a good drama because (and I quote) 'people who recently started watching dramas WILL be more forgiving';...
also, I find people like to throw 'comprehension' around like everything said in language must be explicit... you very much implied so. even saying 'i believe the only reason this has such a high rating is because the leads have a lot of steamy scenes'; is judgemental of people who like the drama.

He was literally behind the whole bday party fun in early eps. And showing personality, he wasnt in ep5 much coz…
theres always one... 🙄 acting like it's somehow illegal to have a differnt opinion. If 'showing personality' is your kind of fun, then great... I find him boring in this show
i think I would enjoy this more with a different FL... PMY is just so stiff (and the obvious plastic surgery is distracting). Also her playing a teenager... lets be serious pls!
Decent story, but i just dont feel the chemistry between the leads... maybe it's the age difference having an impact 🤷🏾♀️. i'm on episode 17 now so let's see how it goes.
ps. I wish they would stop putting actors with obvious plastic surgery in these period dramas, its distracting and doesnt fit...

p.s. I'm surprised at how reserved (and unfortunately boring) that Junho is coming across. on ep 5, so hoping he shows his funner side soon
