If you've watched 'Gokusen', then 'Rookies' almost has the same plot of story. New teacher comes in, straighten a bunch of delinquents, delinquents bash up teacher (in 'Rookies'), teacher doesn't give up, teacher puts faith in them, students turn good. Except that in 'Rookies', it centres around the baseball club instead of a whole class of delinquents. I never thought I would enjoy the series since it's a sports-themed show, but I grew to love it (and not only because Takeru's in it, haha). The drama depicts hope, dreams, friendship and loyalty. Romance is non-existence though.

As much as I detest living in Singapore because of its high cost living and literally being one of the most safest (and boring) countries, I can't help but to be thankful for it. It may be a tiny island country which is represented only by a tiny dot on the world map, but its sense of culture and diversity is what makes it more tolerable to live here. :)

We have schools here in Singapore which cater to religious studies. So Muslim students who studied there have arabic piled on top the current existing subjects. And that's a lot.

It depends. Sometimes, it'll take about two weeks to finish all papers whereas those major, major exams can even last up to one month. It depends on how many days off in between papers, but usually for mid-year exams, it usually last for a week. I haven't been in school since 2000 after I graduated from secondary (high) school, so I'm totally lost at how the current curricular goes.

Oh my, you need to control your temper dear. Otherwise, you'll break your lappie and there'll be no more dramas to watch! O__O The horror!

Ah, I think you need to focus on your exams first, only after that you can continue again with your dramas. Your exams will last for a week at the most, right? Just bear for the week or so. After that, you're free to do anything. :))

I have a short attention span, but for the sake of dramas (especially with my idols in it), I'll go to extra lengths. *shakes head*

The plot for SHS is alright, what with the history of the Tokugawa period being incorporated in the drama. Makes history fun. I have a go at another episode to see if I can stop with the facepalming.

I just realised that the difference between 'Gokusen' and 'Rookies' is that 'Gokusen' is more of a comedy whereas 'Rookies' is more serious. There are some funny elements, but I think the delinquents from 'Rookies' will make the delinquents from 'Gokusen' a run for their money. I really HATED the students from 'Rookies' until about episode 5 where I started warming up to the characters. But I already like the students in 'Gokusen' from episode 2 onwards. See the difference?

Oh, another thing. The teacher in 'Rookies' can get really irritating, with his yelling and all so be warned. *winks*
