But they never found the body of 3rd victim thus treating it as a missing case person. BHJ assumed that the 3rd victim had been dead. He dug into the case to find the 3rd victim and the real culprit, also he wanna prevent the crime from happening. later they will unfold the next victims in this case, BHJ has changed the story but the serial killer is more cunning.
For a low budget C-drama, It's quite good, actually, due to Jing Chao's outstanding performance as a villain.

I think tencent is only a streaming platform, aka the 3rd party? They bought the rights/license to air the drama. Has nothing to do with XZ but the company which produces drama. If Tencent bought the license, then it is their decision to air or not to air drama. XZ still have a chance to star in any drama that air in other streaming platform.
