I'm surprise there are so many positive comment...I grew up watching MG Taiwanese version. It was a GIANT...the…
From all of Rui characters, I like Zai Zai in MG 1 the most. Lei in MG 2018 is quite stiff. Maybe this is his first major drama? But MG 1 was Vic Zhou first major drama too.

Please anyone tell me, what is the difference between TV version (50 eps) and DVD-Netflix (48) version? I'm currently watching the DVD version. At first I have no desire to join the bandwagon to watch it. I guess I'm too old and wise to watch Hana Yori Dango getting a live action again through MG 2018. After years I've seen so many drama plot similar to HYD, and it became classic. But now I'm exciting to watch it till the end. FYI I was the fan of first generation of Meteor Garden, and also the die hard fans of Hana Yori Dango dorama (exclude Hanadan 2018). Comparing it to Let's Watch Meteor Shower that was starred by Zhang Han and Zeng Shuang (?), I think Meteor Garden 2018 is far better. I am surprised Angie Chai still have the knack to make something great. But you wouldn't surprised at the same time because in this digital content era, it is relatively easy to get resources for creative people. I notice Angie Chai placed many products (and services?) onto MG 2018. Perhaps she has got many sponsors for this drama and it makes easier for her to live up her vision. Anyway first Meteor Garden is quite underrated in term of production because of lack of funding. The second MG then was came out with better production. Still, Korean Boys Before Flowers more opulent.

Person Lam Yuk Fan
She is so talented. So, most case in dramaland, it's rare to find established female director.

I'll watch it if Fu yao become a big hit like TMOPB. 60's episode something is a long run. The first wuxia (?) that I watch till the end is TMOPB which consist of 58 eps. I drop half way several wuxia because it sparks no interest on the plot, like King's woman, the flame daughter and the recent, Yuan Xuan Swords.

romcom drama with dandy man and poor girl is so so cliche and typical of kdrama. Still, I like this drama and will watch it till the end. I love to see PSJ and PMY chemistry. In the beginning, the reason I'm watching this drama because of PMY.

Title Two Cops
Honestly the only time I liked Hyeri's acting was in Reply 1988. She seemed to actually pull off the role well…
hahaha for getting a chemistry between actors you should build a romantic feeling. I don't really agree with that, it only shows that the actors is lack of acting ability. but I remember Nicky Wu said he restraint having romantic relationship with opposite lead actress he worked with. he can't really distinguish whether it real romance or just temporary feeling that he got carried away by the role he played during filming. because when filming ended, the feeling will soon vanish to the thin air. that's why he started dating Liu Shishi years after BuBuJingXin aired.

Title Two Cops
I like every drama of Jo Jung Suk. His acting and expression is superb. Though I like Hyeri in Reply 88, but I dislike her in this drama. She's like crawling on the wall searching for the right act and expression to assume her role as reporter. Also she looks like still haven't get the chemistry yet with JJS. Or she was amazed by JJS's acting ability that she can't act properly. She almost ruin the show. I don't see the passion and the knack of reporter on her. Suzy is better than her. Or, for the next level, Gong Hyo Jin is a goddess. Look what she has done in Jealousy Incarnate as a weather forecaster.

Hey girl,, you missed the earlier version Hana Yori Dango version from 90's(? )I remember one of the cast was Naohito Fujiki (?) served as Doumyoji Tsukasa. Now the casts has become aunty and (still handsome) uncles :D Also you missed Meteor Shower. AFAIK that was sort of official China's remake of HYD, but loosely based on Meteor Garden (or vice versa?). Basically Meteor Garden was a Taiwanese drama whereas HYD drama is more with Japanese taste. I don't like Meteor Shower though. I have a doubt that Meteor Shower had ever buy a license for acquiring the right to remaking HYD haha. Anyway, thanks for comparing the actors of HYD from time to time. I can't comment on their looks, they look charming on their own. And the story of every remake is still fascinating and have their pros and cons. My favorite is still and forever HYD Japan, where Matsujun and Mao Inoue lies <3 Seriously, until now they gave big impact to their fans.. still believing that they are getting together.

K3G for sure. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Veer Zaara, Bunty Aur Babli, Jab We Met, Kuch Na Kaho, Hum Tum, Paheli…
Totally agree. Bollywood is filled with hollywood movie remakes, in partial or in the whole movie plot. I often see that. with hundred productions each year, how can you maintain the originality?
