Ni Ni is a rare finding actress. Yeah, most of actresses in C dramaland can act (since majority of them were student at performing act academy), but only a few of them can act with microexpression and subtle body language.

Xianxia: Till The End of The Moon, Love and Destiny (Chang Chen, Ni Ni), Ancient Love Poetry, etc ..C historical/nonxianxia: Ruyi, The Rebel Princess. While xianxia can be more expensive due to CGI editing and top billed casts/traffic actors, Historical (sense) drama can be utterly expensive due to building intricate setting n props aside the top billed casts (more like wellknown actors with great acting skills). Please note that every company or OTT have their personal range budget to determine whether it's for A drama or S/S+ project. But for sure, high budget dramas will have traffic actors/sought after actors because the producer wants to suck more viewers. Those actors were offered the role, not by casting. .......I'll elaborate how expensive the CGI. So, one of beverage product make a CF for less than 10 minutes. It has stunning CGI. The cost for it is more than 3 hundred thousand dollars. And we always wondering where the sophisticated jewelries and wardrobes of those high budget dramas gone..some of them went to the auction. The beautiful building they build may be reusable for next drama filming or they will just demolish it for good.

Hahaha, I think as an avid watcher sometimes we need to lower our std. But regardless the quality there is an X factor that keeps me watching a drama till the end, otherwise I'll just drop it. I love Snowfall! It's an aesthetic show. The whole plot is not bad, especially for main leads.

There are plenty of A budget to low budget drama but people still regard them as a great drama. Or at least worth to watch.

I don't think the scenery, lighting and camera work are that bad. But the story telling is. Judging by the amount of eps, 24 for a saga, I think this drama has gone through extensive editing. The story runs wildly like a mad horse....IDK..I only watched 2 eps.

Damsel in distress. Her demeanor is contradictive with her profession (reporter) in a news outlet. By conscience, she shouldn't come back living in that traumatized crime scene. She is one of example of vulnerable women out there that is prone to become a victim of harrassment/ SA. Idk if her character in novel was written like in the drama. It's right for Sang Yan to scold her for being ignorant, not to seek help when in distress.

I read in an article that she was eager to comeback through a stage performance / drama stage with a brand new name. She trained hard for the performance, her come back, yet days before the actual comeback she backed off with lower self esteem. And later she was found unconscious.
