The complaints don't make any sense. These characters are grey, and that is what is unique about this drama. Isn't…
Yes, they are a good drama. From acting to the setting, I think it reflects what happened in Song dynasty life. But the real Song dynasty life may be harsher and more difficult for women than the depiction in the drama. What I love the most about it is about dynamic interaction among the characters. And all the charas are not without flaws.
I was surprised by the scene of "Chain An kicks a ball", he was deliberately aimed at 3rd sister, Kang Ning. He was rude, but that was due to his childish demeanor. He was attracted to Kang Ning because she was the perfect opponent for his mischievous deeds. Yeah, nothing cannot slip away from C netizen's eyes lol. Chai An scolded Fu Hui for being jealously violent is understandable. From the POV of a Song man, it's right to do. This drama is set in Song Dynasty, right? even though Fu Hui came from Li family, once she got married to Fan family, she became a part of The Fan's. In most occasions, she acted more neutral and leaned more toward the Fan. Why did they hate the Li matriarch? I know she was loud, stingy and shameless, lol. But again, it is understandable for her to act like that. Raising the 5 + 1 kids alone and living with servants, she should think about how to survive solely by farming the land. Adding that there were pressures from other Li family who wanted to seize their inheritances. Sometimes, living a harsh life all the time made them ignore the courtesy. In a kidnapping arc, Fu Hui even advised Kang Ning to throw chastity if needed, to save her soul.
It will be crazy like a club friday seriesStep mom and daughter fighting over the same guy....not any ground breaking…
I think " club friday series" is more savage and absurd. I watched 2 eps of Stepmom. It was not a step mom and daughter fighting the same guy. It was a battle between her step mom and her old friend. Basically her step mom and 'friend' fought to win over a guy (the daughter's dad). Since the step mom married her dad, her old friend went crazy and tried her best to take down the step mom. The friend turned enemy adopted a boy, and she used him to take down the Stepmom family. The now step daughter was evil too as she added the salt to the wounds. She kept causing trouble to her step mom even though she was genuinely loved her.

W Wow. they should go with the novel's ending! Were they afraid of having a similar HE like Shenli's? I'm imagining they filmed another HE like in the novel but decided to delete it. :D I hate the idea that he returns to the heavenly realm alone. They should make Feng Yao reincarnates.

"Totally diff from the book" how about the ending the novel? "I would've loved to see him & Fang Yao reincarnated" Me too! I'm back with normal keyboard! LOL
Now I'm using a normal keyboard. LOL I will rant properly! XD God....NYX remind me of senior Hao Chen of Love and Redemption. No matter how hard he tried to save The Glass Maiden / Chu Xuanji, she kept choosing Yu Si Feng and ran into unnecessary dangers over and over. How bitter the brokenheart pill Hao Chen must shallow!
Chai An also smirked at her in episode 1. It had me thinking that they somehow met at an earlier stage. Plus his…
I forgot in which episode Chai An talked about his cousin Fan's marriage. He blabbered that if it wasn't for Fan's craziness toward women, he wouldn't marry Fu Hui. Someone caught Fan's weakness and lured him into marrying Fu Hui. Meanwhile, Fu Hui was a fine woman indeed, and she was not a scheming woman. But, to be married to a prominent family from the capital was not an easy task. There must be a back story behind her marriage.
Idk these directors keep putting her in romantic dramas since she was 16 with male leads that 21 and over. Chinese…
"The easier way is just don't cast her in romantic dramas" yes, absolutely! Also, her company and parents / legal conservator must be aware about this act. How can you exploit a minor in a role that has opposite partner who is older (adult) than her. As if they have tendency towards lolita complex. Or C showbiz is showing its rotten part publicly.
Japan dorama has always been dull forever, especially the detective/investigation drama genre :D Even Japanese…
Even though I critize doramas a lot, I still call them irreplaceable shows. Dorama has its own charms. It's Japanese culture. I still love to watch doramas because they often come with out of the box stories or plot that won't be found on other shows. Most of the Japanese movies and dramas are made with utter details and logic.
I'm back with normal keyboard! LOL
