What an effort to the extent of buying rights of BI. It's a good prevention for avoiding possible future lawsuits. Once a drama got a (legal) problem, they probably pushed it into the dungeon or shelved it indefinitely. Also, what a hassle for a production company to have legal problems in China. It takes time to go through.
