I dont think DL change from the first get go. He is never nice and always has that twisted mind. He has his hidden agenda and only help YS because
1. He needs to redeem himself of being partly guilty in having JJ's dad die.
2. His feeling for JJ in hoping to get JJ falls for him.
I do agree that wish the story finish by ep.30 and then straight jump to proposal. I skipped all the story of 2nd couple, they bored me.

Oh and no love pentagons, i dont even consider, it has love triangle at all either.

There are multiple couples. Main couple, 2nd couple (with almost same total screen time as main couple) and lastly 3rd couple only small screen time toward the ending. Some characters in the poster are just supporting characters.

I had quite a lot of 'WTF, HECK NO!' moment when watching Thai lakorn, then suddenly LOTS OF question...HOW, WHAT, REALLY??, R.E.A.A.A.A.L.L.L.L.L.Y??? and then they have happy ending???
Totally agree with you if the jerk is SML...you will never ever see that person again....usually by end of the story, he will get shot, BANG and die. mwa ha ha ha.

Nah, we can agree or disagree but for me, I don't romanticized the person or character, I am interpreting the writer's thought. Why and how can he get away with all those crime. Otherwise the writer will write exactly what we are thinking, PUT HIM IN JAIL. GIVE JUSTICE TO ALL OF HIS CRIME.

I think from what I read somewhere, in the novel, this DL character is the exact same as in drama (a jerk). Althou some of the plot is different. Linda is actually his mistress. He is always been JJ boss since day 1, etc.

And... actually DL twisted character is nothing compare to some crazy Thai lakorn. In here DL is only a SML. In Thai lakorn a more twisted person can be the actual ML character. Ugh. Crazy.

It is a realistic of life, fair vs unfair, right or wrong.

In this case, the writer must think .... DL help in solving JJ's father case must be a huge deal for YS to think this is a fair trade. Finally the debt has been paid off.

I am not lenient. There is a different between what I think what should be done if it is in real life and what the writer should write in the plot. If it is in real life and what I think the writer should write, he should not get away easily. He should be in jail. YS should hire real 'clean cut' for DL after what he done to JJ. BUT in here, I am trying to descript the story, an intepretation of what the writer try to deliver to us as 'viewer'.

I am also pointing out from DL point of view at that moment. He might at the end understand the way of 'normal' life.

He has been surpressed in his whole life, taking someone else ID, no real friend, no love, he hated his adopted dad and sister (esp. of their behaviour), he think he is different from them, but for fact, unfortunately, he is no different from them at all. He is manipulative, socially ackward (with no real friend), creepy, twisted, has phsychotic tendency, violence and feeling no hope until JJ show a bit of 'friendship' and 'closeness', he took that a mile as he has been given 'extra attention' and he 'think' he falls for her. Thats why he used the methaphor of creature in dark bottom sea seeking for that light.

In normal circumstances...(you and I know) that is not an affection, it was not special at all, it was actually nothing but for him, totally different.

DL never think YS and JJ as friends before but it was different at the end when he mentioned "her name meaning reminded him of his 'friends'." However it was too late because JJ and YS cut him out from their life.

I am not diagreeing with you of what you are saying (thats why in my other comment, i dislike the way how the story is in handling of JJ's 2 friends who were being scapegoat for DL.

Maybe the writer trying to say...his life is so pitiful, losing everything is more a punishment than going in jail. He is a very competitive person but he is totally beaten by YS. He will never win. He lost the only light/hope of his life (for a person as dark as him, losing light is like being push back to the darkness he had before), and finally the character development for him is, he finally understood what the meaning to 'let go', 'being actually happy', 'being free'...etc etc etc.

(Even when us viewer are not happy with the NO JUSTICE against him)

Exactly, that what I think being unfair and one of the dislike I had of the story....but oh well...they have to end the story somehow, I wonder what happen if there are actually 40eps as original plan instead of 36. Will there be something different?

Honestly, I dont think he will do anything with the girl. I think he just realise and feeling good that he can finally let go his dark past...even calling JJ and YS as his 'friends'. That feeling relieved and able to let go, makes him smile at that moment.

He does get away easily at the end but at the same time, he lost those who dear and actually care to him (as an actual friend) due to his act. He lose to YS, his career and JJ. Those are his kinda punishment.

Lol, he excel, confident and always win in his job but you notice, he has lots of doubt when it comes to something related to JJ....he screwed up big time and lost his friendship with JJ and only by luck, he finally meet her again. It took him 10 yrs, even then he was so afraid of losing her again as friend if she rejected his confession (he only have courage to do so after the 100% match and being told off by Qiao Na). After they are together, he also feel so afraid of feeling akward if JJ rejected his proposal (only done so after being courage by Li Xiao Chuan)...and then after all those structural, planning, pretend accidental (LOL), he has failed 3x proposing to JJ before finally he put the ring on her finger.

Exactly, it was just being told that Xiang Ding is back to his parents and finding job there. Such a pity.

Lol, I read it somewhere the meaning of YS and JJ name far before watching ep.36. So I just put 1 plus 1 together when Du Lei told the staff about his '2 friends' name meaning.

I, myself, don't even read or speak chinese (even when myself have chinese background, oopsie...lol).

Okay, just finished watching all 36 eps of 'love is sweet' (LIS). Hmmm...where to start...

The story is about FL has tear allergy and ML used to be her neighbour and childhood friend, due to certain thing, they were separated and meet again after 10 yrs. FL is in her new job and ML is her new boss.

There are character development with our main character. There are, of course, some cliche and fluff fluff love story but I can assure you, they are not the kinda fluff fluff youth love story. I love watching the interaction between the main characters. Their chemistry are so good and very realistic.

Other positive than about their sweet romance is, it has a very short angst and no way to ship FL with SML. So I say...there is no love triangle. Also some scenes are so hilarious, I burst to loud laugh.

OST is good but kinda used a lot throughout the series.

The downfall for me in the series is...the story of 2nd couple. I actually skipped most of them (just because I am not into 'female chasing male' kinda story).

My suggestion is to try to watch at least 2-3 eps to see if you like it or not, I got hooked since 1st eps.

Oh forgot to say :D the ML in LIS is the same person as young He Yi Chen in My Sunshine (MS) - Leo Luo.

I would say, it is par level of interesting storyline to MS. However the chemistry between main couple is better in LIS than in MS.

I hope I dont give too much spoiler and for you to give a try.

I think due to it all related to military title. JJ name meaning is 'general', YS name meaning is 'marshal' and now Du Lei find another one which name meaning is 'commander'. Then their business industry is investment banking where they compare it like a battlefield.

I am kinda disappointed, there were no justice for the 2 friends (Shen Xin and Xiang Ding) after being scapegoat for the leak and their name got smeared within the industry and had hard time finding a job. More pity especially to Xiang Ding who was so nice and supportive to JJ since day 1. It is a pity they have to let it go and leave it the way it is for the sake of Du Lei.

I am currently watching love is sweet, I am very much like it, not yet finish thou, another 6ep to go.

Maybe JJ will beat YS in investment banking, just showing girl power XD

I dont mind much of her haircut, however, her outfit, ugh.
