Ok I just realised something about the first scene of episode 1! This is not really a spoiler since its just a…
This is a very plausible one! I noticed that scene but I'm simple minded and I never thought much about it lol. That would be brilliant tbh and now that you've pointed that out, I'm getting more and more excited for the next episode. This show really is the gift that keeps on giving.
We have Dean in UWMA but apparently many fans of Thai BL call him and his relationship with Pharm boring. So I…
Wait I did the same thing too. I watched it for around 16 minutes then I stopped before finishing it a few hours later. The story is nothing new, but the execution is just well thought-out. It has the potential to be a top-tier drama this year.
I also try to not get too hyped, especially for Manner of Death. I'm so happy that MaxTul is back and this time with an interesting story, but I'm also worried if the series fails to fulfill my high expectations.

Oh yes Thai BL is getting more diverse now and hopefully they keep staying on this track. I'm watching Ingredients and Oxygen and they're quite wholesome so far. ITSAY is just so good and it might become my #1 Thai BL. We will also get Manner of Death very soon and I'm waiting giddily for that one. I'm just so happy that we are getting so many quality entertainments despite having a bleak year.

Right we have been blessed with so many BL dramas lately. I love it! But it's my personal wish for Thailand to offer more of these wholesome type of BLs since Thai production has its own unique charm that I cannot find in other countries. I'm not sure if it's those silly sound effects, the language, the men, or if it's just because I grew up on Thai BL so I have some type of attachment to it. I don't know.
I'll be dragged by UWMA fans if they read this but I personally think that Ohm's acting left much to be desired too, especially compared to Fluke. But not gonna lie Ohm/Dean is such a sweet hunk that I could turn a blind eye to his acting.

DeanPharm's relationship is supposed to be delicate due to their (especially Pharm's) trauma. I haven't read the novel too but that's my interpretation of it. I think Fluke shows the hesitation and vulnerability of Pharm really well. The build up to his mental breakdown near the end of the series was one of the best acting performance I've seen. Ohm (Dean) has many rooms to improve but he was doing good enough to me. The editing, however, is not up to par, which is unfortunate since UWMA has the most interesting story and one of the best cast ensemble at that time.
I admit their relationship is subtle and very slow burn compared to other BL couples though, which I assume turn so many people away. To me it is the most realistic same-sex relationship in Thai BL so far and I find it really sweet. But then again, I prefer lowkey relationships such as DeanPharm and ShiroKenji (Kinou Nani Tabeta) so I'm quite biased here.

Oh I agree with you. No one in Thai BL world compares to Kurosawa, but imo Dean was the next best thing. Yes he's pushy but one particular scene shows how, if Pharm says no, he will just back off with no questions asked. It's the scene where Pharm was cooking and Dean suddenly was being grabby. Pharm gave him a stern no and Dean apologized immediately. Their relationship is a slow burn and one that is built on patience and consent, yet many thinks that it is boring--which I don't agree with. I think it is one of the sweetest and healthiest relationship in BL. But enough about DeanPharm.
Yes, diversity is always a good thing. Thai BL has been serving the same old stuff with engineering/college/gay4u/annoying female tropes and I'm just so happy that we have different BL stories coming out lately. Personally I'd love to have less non-con scenes since Thailand is known to have many of them, BL or non-BL. That's why I'd like to see more gentle and considerate male leads from Thai BL.

Yes, Ae is another example of a generally respectful love interest despite being horny all the time lol. There are some instances where he's being quite forceful, but overall I consider him as one of the very few decent love interests in Thai BLs.

If Pharm says no he would back off, as being shown multiple times in the series. Despite being horny and assertive, he still respects Pharm's boundary and he is still more respectful than many.......highly problematic main characters in Thai BLs.
But that's my opinion. If you have other better examples feel free to share it with me. I'd love to hear it :)
Thailand is finally back after so many underwhelming BLs this year! The cinematography is just so beautiful and Billkin shows how good of an actor he really is.
It is wonderful to come back here and see so many great comments in appreciation for this drama. While watching…
I remember when UWMA had 8.5 and was ranked in the 400s. I was perplexed and a bit disappointed. Despite its slow pace, UWMA is one of, if not the best BL drama when it comes to the storytelling and acting. Fluke was a stand out and by far one of the best BL actors out there. The other casts did amazing job as well. I could understand UWMA being less popular than other BL series due to its heavy topic, but I really questioned some people's decision to give it very low ratings. But I'm glad that more people are discovering this gem and giving it the praise that it so deserves.
UWMA is the very definition of a fine wine; it will receive more appreciations and become a classic as time goes by

Ep 3 was so cute! I love Kurosawa more and more after each episode.
