I find it baffling how one can easily accuse people to be bots when their actions seem more like a bot to me. I don't even have enough time to waste on useless stuff to be a "bot".
Contrary to what that one user said, I advise you not to skip the ML's part as his character is the most essential element in the story since the drama focuses about his life journey, his dark past and found friendship along the way, skipping his parts would be like watching 5% of this drama which would end up not making any sense as each of the characters here take shape and growth through their interactions with him.
The ML is a complex grey character btw and with regards to your question, this drama can either be a hit or miss but you won't fully know unless you give it a try. Side note: not a fan of ML Actor so this opinion is based solely from someone who ended up liking this drama, but I did like the ML actor's acting performance here, same with rest of the cast. All I can say is, it is not flawless but there are plenty of memorable scenes you will end up liking eventually.
one thing I love about this drama is LuLu's costume it is so gorgeous, I thought her costumes in TTEOM were already the most gorgeous but then I saw her costumes here and the designer team really put in a lot she look so stunning in them

fans better keep pressuring Tencent, the heat index for this drama was almost ruined because of them now hoping this drama makes a break through this year 🤞
