I believe this drama is more male-centric hence the female leads character isn't given much focus and is written in a way with not much spotlight or characteristics that stands out in par with ML. We shall see in second half if FL character will be given a development arc that evolves and improves her character.

I think people should learn to separate the actress from the character, TXW was just doing her job here it's not her fault as she isn't the one controlling the directors decisions or scriptwriters writing. If it was another actress who would play as FL role here in this drama, that same actress will still end up getting this criticism because this has to do with how character was written not who the actress is.
