I hope the script shows effort on both sides not just ML or FL. Her confession of loving him for his money and body can't be all the effort she had to put in. ML moved next to her apartment. Hoping for them to grow together into a harmonious couple.

For face saving, she says and does the opposite. If you tell someone I like you because you are rich and have a hot body, that's more of an insult than a love confession. Her love surely isn't that shallow as apparently she has been loving him for 4 years.

Yup, imagine a guy making a shrine with girl's pictures, then telling her "I love you" for your body and wealth. Then the audience is expected to feel sorry for him getting partially rejected.

We as audience know that her love is deeper and her words were for face saving. However, what she said in episode 4 & 6 is as shallow as it could have been. Good thing is their relationship is still progressing despite the materialistic confession.

You are right! Many of us felt that love confession was actually an insult. Loving someone for their looks and money simply tells you that they will move onto a more handsome and wealthier person. No hardworking, literate person will reciprocate to such a shallow confession.

If you look for the clues, from the very beginning he has been pursuing her. They both seem to be in love but don't say the right things at the right time. Give it a try, both FL and ML are cute and have a great chemistry. Their character development will be a healthy watch.

Yes, that confession in essence was hurtful and insulting. You are right, this simply means that tomorrow she finds another man that is more handsome or rich she will run after him. Secondly right after partial rejection, she moved on as if there was no real love in her heart. She became vindictive instead as if she owned him. We all know that that FL loves ML a lot and she will eventually do all the right things but for some reason she is now acting shallow and vindictive

He didn't confess first because it's too early in a relationship, He isn't shown to be too impulsive. He was craving about everything that was related to her, the gym scene, him asking the PA about the breakfast, never rejecting her for the car rides, calling after cat scratch.... his love has been always there. Since FL kept bringing him up and her BFF 's failed love, it would have been too hasty to talk about FL and his attachment. It would almost seem like as if he needed a replacement and our FL replaced her BFF. Not sure what will happen but the way his personality has been shown, he seems to be dignified and will approach, prove and declare his love in a distinguished manner.

I'm all in for brave FLs that take initiative but the initiative can't be based on looks and wealth :) As you mentioned, Tang Y would never accept such a shallow confession. I think, in his mind, he is working towards her, loving him for who he is. That's why I'm enjoying his chase. Also I'm hopeful for the character development of FL as well. Love isn't a child's play. It's a commitment of a life time.

To me it seemed , he was always very interested in her. In her confession, she mentioned how he has always kept her around, so to me, he seemed always in love but would want a better reasoning for love than the wealth and looks.

Agreed, hearing that you are loved due to your looks and wealth is an insult to one's dignity. No hardworking boy or girl will appreciate that love confession.
