Yes she is answerable to all of us but to Chang Xuan as long as she admits that he is in her heart, oh the whole world of CX is hers :)
My deep-rooted love for her is resurfacing. Setting aside that nonsensical remark in episode 22, notice how she provokes him—and only him. "The heart has its reasons which reason does not know.” — Blaise Pascal - Just as he is unlike himself with her, she crosses boundaries she would never cross with anyone else. Her standing before the armed brigade and his father was magnificent. I truly thought this would mark the turning point, with time bringing them together against the world. Silly me, for hoping for more.

Yes, I felt her pain & emotions as well. That was absolutely beautiful delivery by the FL but taking it out on the person who never did anything to that girl or her family & he even wanted all the bad guys to be punished- oh well sadly FL isn't what I thought she was. You know I would defend women left & right but I lost my way with her.

Yes, that's the issue. There isn't any character development for the FL. May be the screen writer forgot her part

I’m still unsure where her personal bias against him comes from. From the start, Chang Xuan gave her a chance to uncover the truth instead of keeping a murder suspect in jail. The water was interrogations intimidation, not a personal vendetta. He paid her as promised and offered her a ride, yet she hurled silver at his head, insulted his beliefs and dismissed his understanding of the poor. He still let her go. Her biases never wavered, and she knew exactly when to show vulnerability to win her freedom. That smile said it all. As he put it, “You win.” And honestly, his infatuation seems to be behind most of her winning streaks!

If you feel this way after episode 16, wait until the middle of 22! 🤣 Sadly, I truly loved her character, just as Chang Xuan did. But I struggle to admire a personality that contradicts itself. Growth and character development are one thing; contradicting the very principles that made you admire a character is an entirely different game.

I got swept up in all the craze and love, only to stop midway through episode 22! Let me know how it ends, and I’ll binge-watch the rest. In just two days, I had such intense withdrawal symptoms that I turned to Footprints of Change for my Ryan Cheng fix. The time period is almost the same, his styling is similar, same goes for the hospital and that green sofa 🤣 At this point, I think I’m chasing Chang Xuan through another drama!

I stopped watching around the middle of episode 22. I’m not looking forward to their married era if she hasn’t got her right noodles! 😂 Her consent meant everything to him; that’s what made him stop in his tracks. I don’t want to watch her offer a hollow consent while making zero effort for a man who repeatedly puts his life and career on the line for her. He deserves to be chosen freely, wholeheartedly, and with the same conviction with which he chooses her.

I started out falling for her purity and innate sense of justice. But after that MDL comment, sadly, I began to see what you mentioned: she may be just as smart and calculating. From that very first bet, reclaiming her work contract and making that trade knowing he would never take away her purity, to slitting herself to let him find her in-time (to free herself) while getting her man out—the pattern became harder to ignore. But MDL's comment here, followed by that triumphant smile after securing her promised release, was my turning point.

Someone here said before, Chang Xuan is very loud in his actions so we all jump to focus on his flaws. She is very schematic but quite & hence we don't realize her ways of operating
