That’s what makes her choice so troubling: she wasn’t simply seeking justice; she was willing to bend it to save her fiancé.

Yes, what sexual assault? She first started getting undressed on her own. He stopped when she just shed one tear. Second she provoked him by getting the ring back, he clearly said not to keep another man's trace on her. So what was she thinking, she would need to cook a meal for him ? And no, she chose to sell her body, no one forced her. Does every convict's family member get people out of jail by selling their body? She got Xueting out without even stripping naked.

Harm, if one is spying in any country, any era, what do you think happens to their families? SML didn't even once think of the consequences of what harm he is doing to the mom & daughter. If not for ML, Ping Jun would have been actually assaulted by who knows how many. ML was barbaric but only on surface, forget virginity he didn't even see her naked while she willingly sold her body to him

I haven’t seen the preview, but Ping Jun has always had faith in Chang Xuan and treated him as her equal. Isn’t that precisely what love means to her?

Episode 16 was such a beautiful episode! Isn’t it wholesome when the truth finally comes to light? Everyone deserves a friend like Li BoRen. Thank goodness he realized how unfair it was to both our leads for Ping Jun to remain unaware of everything Chang Xuan had been doing for her.

Chang Xuan released Ping Jun even after she had offered her body to save her convicted fiancé. Yet she left his house untouched. Forget losing her virginity; he hadn’t even dared to see her naked. It was always the maids who attended to her. In the end, Ping Jun won on every count: she fulfilled her part of the bargain without surrendering what she had promised, secured her fiancé’s release, got to have her mother’s health restored and reclaimed her freedom. As Chang Xuan put it, “You win.” Two simple words that said it all.

I’m relieved Chang Xuan chose to set Ping Jun free as expected . She now has the chance to face the world independently and discover who will truly stand by her when promises are put to the test. His friend’s explanation shed light on Chang Xuan’s behaviour: having never learned what healthy love looks like, he expresses his feelings through control and manipulation. That may explain his choices, but certainly doesn’t justify them.

I still hope both characters receive meaningful redemption arcs, because neither is entirely innocent. Chang Xuan manipulated circumstances to keep Ping Jun close while Ping Jun knowingly used the depth of his feelings to achieve her own ends. Both have much to answer for.

And now, I’m eager to see what unfolds between Ping Jun and Xu Ting, the man for whom she willingly sold her body. How will he protect her in every situation? Will his actions live up to the love she believed in? I can’t wait to find out!
