Started off well and I like the character interactions which are closely following the novel. How we were introduced to Tang Xue's crazy roommate was a letdown though. Hopefully her roommate's interactions get whackier as the show goes on. She is the best supporting character in the novel.
I'll also watch anything with Janice Wu. She is a joy to watch. I've liked her in all her major roles. And she is a good fit for Tang Xue.
Everything was great until ep 10 and 11. She doesnt deserve him anymore. She made a drama out of his secret crush…
Was definitely manufactured and unbelievable. He did some borderline stalker-like crushing, but she was also chasing after him in the 1st episode like you said. And he was always respectful. Disappointed, but that is how these shows last as many episodes as they do.
I'm about halfway through this so far and it has been really good. The cast is good and the chemistry between the leads is great. I like the trust they have in one another and the relationship.
This is a different drama than most in that we spend the entire series watching the main couple begin the show together and end the show together and watch them grow from start to finish. There isn't much drama to speak of. Just watching the main couple grow up and experience university, long distance relationship, entering the working world, etc.
The drama they have manufactured is silly. Like the stepmom and adopted sister.
There's still 2 episodes bud.. and even rumors of a 2nd season.
There are too many loose ends to tie up in 2 episodes. A 2nd season would do it and it would be welcomed. But most kdramas don't go longer than 16 episodes.
Such a waste of talent and production value. They still haven't explained what the hell Dal Geon was doing with a sniper rifle early in the 1st episode.
The high school rival made a lot more sense because of the decision to stop skating.
The bickering and goofiness will continue for the entire show as long as they follow the novel.

They should have done something else for drama.
