I agree that it was still entertaining but I wasn't bored by the explanations. His motivation to end his life just wasn't right imo; it made me not care enough for the ml at first. The rest of the episodes delivered well and made up for it: I also understood his character better then.

5-7 were so good that I finished them in one sitting.
It has slow start and the couple's interactions seem a little forced at first; so, I understand the relatively low rating.
But the plot picks up the pace and the character development is top notch!
10/10 for me.. for now. Hope the ending is good too, let's see!
