I feel that her burst of hate or anger towards Mijeong makes sense. Those strangers she helped and the loan shark…
Right, she really was pushed to her limit. I loved the way her character developed. Her action felt out of character to me when I first watched the show, but thinking back, it made sense, too. Maybe that's why I didn't deduct a point for it lol.
I'd love to know her backstory, we don't even know her birth name. At least, we have her chosen name.
You've articulated it well, agree with your take too!
I feel that her burst of hate or anger towards Mijeong makes sense. Those strangers she helped and the loan shark…
I partially agree with you. I felt that her anger was justified when she first fought with M-jeong, too. She had worked so damn hard to get to that point; Boudoir was her baby, and it was the biggest night of her life. Yet the woman she hired decided to ruin it instead of only taking her share of the credit.
However, where I disagree is that at one point Sarah stopped hitting her. She came to her senses, then went out of the room. To come back and then disfigure her face, it was not just her anger or impusle: it was her decision. I think she was right to beat the shit out of her (I like morally grey characters) but Sarah wasn't exactly grey enough to murder someone, then dump their body in the gutters, imo.
But yeah, if it didn't happen, then we wouldn't even have a show. The more I think about it, the more I love the show.
8/10Deducing 1 star for the loose ending (most good dramas don't know how to end these days)1 star for that shitty…
What I absolutely loved about the drama is the art.
Hae-sun's acting is perfect as usual. The cinematography is gorgeous!
The social commentary is spot on. There are so many scenes that show how you pay for the brand, not for the product. It applied to people and their skills too.
I liked how Boudoir bags were not minimalist. They were flashy af, not trying too hard and still sought after.
I could somewhat relate to Sarah in her struggles, even rooted for her despite her cons.
I disagree that being rich is just a mindset thing. But you do have to be psychopathic to become ultra-weathly.
Deducing 1 star for the loose ending (most good dramas don't know how to end these days)
1 star for that shitty jk rowling-in-shit reference
I don't understand what plotholes people are talking about. The story was interesting and pretty easy to follow. No plotholes. Though they didn't explain the skeleton found in the pond. They didn't have to.
The police going along with her final con was unrealistic in the drama world. In the real world, it makes sense. Innocent people get convicted with fabricated evidence all the time.
My only problem with the drama is the fact that Sarah really did disfigure and attempted to murder Mi-jeong (not full murder because she froze to death, ig)
I think it went against the character of a woman who took off her own gloves and scarf for a stranger, paid off almost all her debts, and even donated her kidney when she didn't have to.
I agree with the theory that Sarah's husband might've aided her in the murder. She didn't even finch seeing the corpse's photo, I don't think it was her doing. Or maybe it was. No one really knows Sarah, not even the viewers.
⚠️ Vote for GagaOOLala to be added to list of streaming services ⚠️https://kisskh.at/discussions/suggestions/130255-add-gagaoolala-to-lists-of-services⚠️…
I voted!
I tried to add Gaga on MDL back in 2022, all in vain.
A kdrama that actually felt like a kdrama after a long long time. I loved it so so much but..
I didn't like the ending.
I wish they used the last episode to tell us more about the future of all the main characters and how they got there. Instead the ending mainly focused on Eun Gyeol only.
I hated that the main focus was to prevent I Chan's accident but it was 'mission failed'.
I loved the disablity representation but I wanted a total fairytale ending for him. It's still inspiring that he's loving his life but this is the guy who stayed up all night producing songs. That was taken away from him.. it still makes me sad.
And we didn't even get to see how Eun Yu's life changed after all that.
I'm ok with looking over the plotholes and downright stupid character decisions (how was Eun Yu planning to set her mum up with a guy by dating him herself!? Lol)
Also, didn't the band members lose their friendship with "Se Gyeong"? So many questions were left unanswered.
I think they didn't show Se Gyeong's life change because that would mean she'd reconcile with her bio dad > then he might not die in the shop like the og timeline > no deceased ancestor intervention > hence none of this time travel stuff would be set in motion = paradox.
Anyway, I love love love my babies I Chan and Cheong A! This drama helped me turned my anxious brain off and enjoy seeing everyone lives come together (unlike the originally fallen apart timeline).
The ending felt rushed even though it was carefully planned from the begining. But I can't bring myself to lower the rating of a heartwarming drama that I enjoyed so much.
I loved it! Took 28 minutes into the movies for things to finally take-off but when it did, it was so worth it 🤣 it doesn't have a fairytale like, too good to be ending though but that's alright.
Also, the actress looks so much like Chun Woo-Hee, they look like sisters fr!
I loved every second of this omg 😭😭😭 I would like to give this a 10/10 BUT the fact that they just ended…
same girl, I gave 8.5/10 because wdym we won't get closure for the other inmates ;_; I hated how they ended looney's story and skipped all that romance too.
I'd love to know her backstory, we don't even know her birth name. At least, we have her chosen name.

I loved that men got picked up for a change lol.

I guess I didn't like the way his character was treated.
Now that I think back, the show wasn't even that bad. It should've been a movie, I might've liked it better.

Soryeong x Han Do bit at the end was the best lol. I'd love to see their romance next season
I recently watched Mr. Queen and ⚠️ spoiler alert: I hated how the sML's story ended.
Even the sFL had a better arc than his, and the stuff she did was just as despicable him so I don't get the different treatment.
The show was still a 10/10 for me though, couldn't bring myself to lower the rating even when I didn't like the ending.
