This is a really cool thriller so far! Dr. Kan's ambiguous guilt and flirting (both genuinely and to distract) the most dangerous person to him is so good. As is Thiu slowly thawing to Dr. Perfect's charms. I really like how both characters have lives and motivations outside of the romance. I'm excited to watch every episode and hope the show sticks the landing.
The first two episodes are a strong start for the series, I really love the communication the characters have and how they get along. The writing is so good the way where the angst is character driven rather than plot driven. I'm am rooting hard for this show hit the landing for the remaining 8 episodes.
For those who've viewed this, there's a character with a very special 'clock' he always has access to. Towards…
He tells the widower scientist who now sees the "You are all bugs" on his retinas that he would just get used to it, so I think he did keep seeing his countdown and now it might have switched to the "You are all bugs" message too.
I dunno the source material so everything I observe is just from the drama so far alone, but since the pov character…
I can't view and reply to the comment thread below when I'm logged in for some reason, but re:lovecolin's second reply: Hanging out with both Wal and his gf for Wal's birthday and then a dinner some time after isn't all the time. Wal does spend time with Guy on their own and Wal does keep trying to talk to Guy about the online friends and Guy is the one shutting him out.
Guy hasn't really done anything wrong. You criticized Guy for his timing in wanting to profess his love but you…
The girlfriend was answering Wal yes to be his girlfriend for his birthday present, which means Wal was the one who confessed and asked her to date him beforehand at some point. Wal doesn't know that Guy is disappointed or for what reason. Guy is very suddenly acting differently than normal. It's great that Guy is getting more friends, but instead of talking it out with Wal, he's just self pitying himself and acting annoyed at Wal.
"He doesn't think about Wal's happiness at all. " -> What did Guy do to make you think that? We're ep2, where…
Guy being disappointed is literally in every scene he thinks about Wal. Guy is the one agreeing to get food with Wal without telling Wal he already made plans and dips out suddenly. Guy disappears all night with no contact and then just acts annoyed when Wal checks in on him. Wal up to now is Guy's only friend and only one at that university and would be the only one to care about his well being, whether he's missing or something. I think there was a line somewhere about Guy's parents asking him to look out for Guy too. I already said Wal looking through Guy's texts was not cool. From his perspective Guy is suddenly acting very out of character.
I dunno the source material so everything I observe is just from the drama so far alone, but since the pov character is Guy, it might show Wal to be villainous in the coming episodes like stringing him alone on purpose or something, but without further context of that, Guy is the one being a big jerk in these first two episodes so far.
Since high school Guy's only been with Wal as a guy he has a crush on and what that is to him rather than actually caring about Wal as a friend. He doesn't think about Wal's happiness at all. To start off, even intending to profess his love on his best friend's birthday is an entirely selfish act, with no care with what if it doesn't end with Wal reciprocating, that it would make things awkward for Wal. Then he just feels hurt that his friend found a girlfriend that makes him happy, like Wal isn't worth anything to him now that he's not available as a potential boyfriend. Wal still finds time to hang out with Guy even while he has a girlfriend. Sure, it can be awkward being the third wheel to a lovey dovey pair even without the messy crush situation, but Wal wanting a dinner with his girl friend and best friend, the two people he's the most close to outside of family isn't really an evil thing. Going through Guy's phone is not good and Wal shouldn't do that, but him being suspicious in general of people Wal met online isn't completely unreasonable either. Wal has never seen Guy make other friends on his own before in the many years they've been friends and now all of a sudden Guy being the kind of silly loner guy Wal knows him to be and has looked out for all this time, going off to meet online people that Wal doesn't know, acting different than usual, not answering his phone, being cagey. As a friend, that seems reasonable to be very concerned. It's good that Guy is growing his experiences in meeting new people, but he's also being very mean to Wal who just wants to make sure Guy's not getting scammed or tricked.
No humor or chemistry sadly. Offroad was the stand out in Our Days, but even he can't save this petulant man child role. I hope to see him in a better role next time.
Low budget is not a crime, but this version is not filmed, directed, or acted well either. It would have maybe kept my interest to keep watching to see how certain Thai cultural elements are translated like freshman orientation, if at the lowest bar even one of those aspects were competently done, but it hits zero marks. The original has decent production value, two pairs of leads that were equally interesting, their actors portrayed them well, and the story had okay pacing. If anyone checking this out hasn't seen the original yet and isn't feeling this one, definitely watch the original instead.
I feel bad for Than being treated extremely poorly by his adopted mom and being left outcast from the family. He definitely deserves love, but dude has also been shamelessly going after someone he thought was dating his brother from the start. They had Meena say he had guilt in his eyes, but he did not show any guilt lol. I look forward to the finale so I can form my full thoughts on the full drama and the various characters and there will be no more frustrating plot contrivances to maintain the misunderstanding to deal with.
For a show that started off so silly and fun, it devolved into criminally bad wasting time for multiple episodes in the last quarter, and concluding with an extremely skin crawling creepy ending. The last episode wasn't that bad until that was how they chose to end it.

Sucks for Lilly and I feel bad for Tong. This is a harsh ending where the serial killer family gets away with it.
