Yep, you must watch the version of this drama on Viki and it's so good. There are 2 different versions of this drama, only the one on Viki makes so much sense and it's so good.

Watch it on Viki and chooce episodes 53 and then 54. So, Li Chenlan (XK's character) got tricked by Jiang Wu into that cave and got tied up like when he was young. Then in order to come out to save Zhao Yao, he had to merge/deal with his internal deamon. So from there on, he had lost most of the control to do bad things. In the episode where he was on the Phoenix mountain to be judged and killed, once again because he needed to save Zhao Yao and kill Lok Ming Shue the bad guy, he got the evil sword again. So they were able to kill and eliminate all the bad guys. On the scene where Zhao Yao was looking at him and all the fights between Li Chenlan and Zhao Yao that means all the internal struggles between the good and evil within Li Chenlan and because of the love that he had for ZY, he was able to dominate his internal devilish controls. (All this, because his father put the demonic will into him when he was a baby). But Xi Ma Roun ( the cripple) told hi( Li Chenlan) that he can't keep his control for too long and that must go into cultivating and get rid of the sword for it never be able to come back. So that's what he did, he went to thr tomb hill and after ma y years, he was a able to get himself separated and freed from the sword and the demonic control. He threw the sword to the bottom of the sea.
