I've been a fan of Xu Kai since his start in the Story if Yanxi Palace because that was his first drama streamed on youtube. Of course it was mainly because of his looks then. Now, I am his fan because I like his personality and also his look too :) so I want him to succeed. I haven't missed any of his dramas so far. I know that what I'm about to say would irritate lots of his fans here and there will be hostiles messages against me...However, nobody can improve w/o listening to critics. So, I haven't seen much improvements in acting in Xu Kai in the last 2 dramas he was in 2023 and from the clips I saw for his new ones, those expressions of his remained the same, so I didn't see any much improvements either. I think one of the things that prevents Xu Kai from being total successful in China is because people in Chinese don't think Xu Kai can act. They say he can only have one expression. I unfortunately have come to an agreement with them. Xu Kai needs to improve his actings. He frowns too much in his acting, his expressions are too tight. With this, he's going to get old very soon as the frowning is causing wrinkles above his nose (if you know what I mean look at him :D ). What he needs to do is to ask acting help by hiring some acting teachers. I mean Liu Yu Ning (the ML in A Journey to Love who was just a singer to begin with and was acting pretty raw/bad in his first drama The Long Ballad) was able to improve immensely because he got lessons from acting teachers; why can't Xu Kai do that? He is coming from modeling, and I understand it's hard to become very good by his own...hence, he really needs to get acting help. So, if any alasos see this message, for his own good and to get Xu Kai real acting improvement, tell him that he needs acting lessons. Just like Liu Yu Ning did and got so much improved in just 2-3 years time. I mean can you see the difference in WOL when the 2 actors were in the same screen, did you see the difference between them?... I wish Xu Kai much success but if he doesn't improve his acting soon, I don't think his look can help him for too much longer. I am not a hater of Xu Kai at all. I just wish he can improve.

I agree with you Ayanokoji555, Jing Tian doesn't show her age. In fact, she's in high demand in C-drama with actors even younger than Xu Kai pairing with her. I think it's because of her personality and some fame that she's acquired overseas (Hollywood) that many C-drama directors like to work with her. This is my guess of course :) Her personality is very pleasant of others, she's always trying to promote her partners, she has a humbling attitude; very flexible personality...she's won me over, I'm one of her fans too :) Sorry, I didn't mean to steel this forum for Jing Tian.

Yes, I agree with you Alila, she was way prettier than even the clip I noted above. In fact, I saw an interview in Youtube 10 days ago or so, but I can no longer find it anymore to put the link here...something that she's done, probably in 2013-2015 with a popular interviewer on CCTV (I can't remember her name); and I do agree, that father Time does take some glow away as we age which is part of life...She still has some beauty in her now; but it doesn't wow that much, and it doesn't attract that much attention like a mature Yang-Mi, so she looks a bit more ordinary right now...quite less attractive than before I agree. I can see all the girls in their 17s - 22s, they all have that youth glow that make them all more beautiful, so I do agree on most of what you said.

No, this drama was dubbed by someone else who's been doing his. Xu Kai has used his own voice in SAHPH and will also be using his own in Best Choice Ever aka Story of Joy; and As Beautiful As You.

@ArniA: if you can't understand why the fights the day after they were good is because you haven't followed the drama too closely. The reason for the ML to break up with the FL is because of the misunderstanding that originated with the FL's father requesting the king to name the ML to be the crown prince. The ML thought that it was the FL's idea as the FL had asked him in the beginning to get to the position of bien the crown prince. He was disgusted at the thought that the FL was manipulating the situations to get him into being the crown prince. Hence he broke up with her.

I think VIP is like its abbreviation says, 'very important people'. This definitely doesn't take away anything from what Xu Kai has accomplished. 'A very important people' can be assigned to many as you've seen...just a nice way to label someone special...but the brand spokesman label/role of Tencent is a lot more important, most honor. A brand spokesman can only be given to a very few actors, or maybe even to one and only one (don't know for sure). Also, Xu Kai has won two other prizes, namely, the most charming; and the other one, the most popular actor overseas. Someone mentioned that there are some other actors that were perceived more popular than Xu Kai such as whomever. Well, this prize is for Tencent/WeTV actors. Xu Kai's dramas have been always ranked in the top 10 (many times as top 1) for the past 2-3 years on WeTV/Tencent platform globally, hence this merits Xu Kai to be named the most popular actor overseas for Tencent. Besides, during the transmission of the prizes, the honor was probably because of the ratings for ALP and SAHPH. That's why, the producer of ALP was selected to give Xu Kai the prize. Yes, there are haters of Nicky Wu that mocked him saying he was fat, old. and ugly. There were articles (entertainment articles) talking about it. I've read those comments a few years ago. He was turning to 50 and as everybody in their 50s, gets heavier. I didn't however, find him ugly nor old. To me he still looked pretty good. I'm sure he lost some weight afterwards. But there are haters and some of those are indeed LSS's fans because NW is much older than LSS. But NW adores LSS, so I don't think NW would have any affair with anybody else, but loyal to LSS.

That's why she hasn't had any dramas filmed in 2022; and she's currently filming one in 2023 (right now) as a 2FL. She's been only in Variety shows for all of 2022 and most of 2023 until maybe September timeline when she started filming a drama as a 2FL. I'm sure she'll improve in this new one that she's currently filming. She's very attractive/pretty.

My favorite one is the one on track 6 (I believe it's the one that there had been a few asking for, which is when everybody died). I like them all, well, track #3 is the least pretty of them all...but give it a try. It's good, so enjoy it :)
