If the writer fails male characters, there's barely any repercussion but if suddenly when there’s female characters that are too strong in character, its feminist.
The king doesn’t know how to protect his own family yet he’s trying to protect the entire empire at minimal efforts.
The sister is a dumb nut who doesn’t understand the bigger picture and her brother’s endless sacrifice to constantly protect her. I would disown the both of them.
And the medicine girl interjects her personal opinion when she also doesn’t understand the politics of the nation. She lives blindly in a non-meddling environment and forces a friendship with the female lead just because she’s treating her injuries. She imposes in her business and personal affairs like girl mind your own business and just be a doctor.

This drama is so beautiful and the leads are exceptionally wonderful together.
This drama is giving my butterflies again like how The Double and Blossom did last year. It’s so painful that it’s not getting the proper recognition!
Everyone has different perception and it can happen after just one episode.
For example, I was drawn in completely when I watched The Double and Blossom.
So no, I don’t think I jumped to conclusions.
But you have your opinion and I have mine.
Neither is right or wrong, just our own way of thinking.
Just on the 1st episode and I’m not feeling the female character. The actress is great! But her character is a know-at-all right off the bat and it’s annoying. She’s smart enough to be reasonable but she’s not using her intelligence correctly and jumps to conclusions here and there. There’s no humbleness to her character, just that things needs to be HER way.
Someone pls tell me she’ll have character development!
SongMo taught her how to use a gun for self-protection. She missed when she was trying to protect herself from the bandits. But when his life is on the line, her aim was steady, her love was unyielding and she did not miss.
The plot complexity, the character developments of the main leads as individuals and as a couple and the cinematography was just amazing.
I’ve rewatched The Double at least 4 times already and now I have Blossom to rewatch again because I don’t think I’ll be able to move on.
My personal opinion is that it’s rare to have dramas like The Double & Blossom.
The story of a smart FL and a fearless ML who are very much equal to each other. Intelligent, courageous and humble. They remain loyal to themselves as well as to each other. They protected each other in silence but also supported each other in loudness.
Bravo to the screenwriters and the directors for casting such wonderful people because I cannot picture anyone else as SongMo & DouZhao.
I’ve always loved both LiYunRui & Meng YiZi but this drama has definitely put them in a special place in my heart.
He was in New Life Begin with BJT and TXW and he’s always played such funny butler roles 😂
No drama is perfect, there will be flaws but you’re so stuck up on romance when that’s not the projection of this drama.

The director has a right to be scared if a production might not go well. It is okay to not have faith. You’re not them. You’re not in their shoes to understand the market and the industry so take your petty comments elsewhere.
