If you found out your father abetted to having your mother killed, would you not be in shock? That’s the purpose of the ML’s emotions. The FL stepped to prevent him from making a mistake because god forbid emotions makes human do inhuman things.

Everyone has different perception and it can happen after just one episode. For example, I was drawn in completely when I watched The Double and Blossom. So no, I don’t think I jumped to conclusions. One of my favourite scenes is when SongMo apprehended Prince Qing but when he tried to sneak attack SongMo, DouZhao saved him.
SongMo taught her how to use a gun for self-protection. She missed when she was trying to protect herself from the bandits. But when his life is on the line, her aim was steady, her love was unyielding and she did not miss.
The Double & Blossom are my two favourite C-dramas for 2024. The plot complexity, the character developments of the main leads as individuals and as a couple and the cinematography was just amazing. I’ve rewatched The Double at least 4 times already and now I have Blossom to rewatch again because I don’t think I’ll be able to move on. My personal opinion is that it’s rare to have dramas like The Double & Blossom. The story of a smart FL and a fearless ML who are very much equal to each other. Intelligent, courageous and humble. They remain loyal to themselves as well as to each other. They protected each other in silence but also supported each other in loudness. Bravo to the screenwriters and the directors for casting such wonderful people because I cannot picture anyone else as SongMo & DouZhao. I’ve always loved both LiYunRui & Meng YiZi but this drama has definitely put them in a special place in my heart.
