the party ended [3 years] ago and she's still here! yep. haven't moved on a single bit from this show! i'm probably just insane at this point but there's not been even one day where i don't think about it 😂 happy 3 year anniversary to this silly drama 🥹🕊💕
the comments help... people when a drama has nonlinear storytelling and does proper character study 😠it's important to realize that this is a story that breathes through its characters and the personal experiences that shape them and the things they stand for. the pacing isn't flawed because there are slow moments inbetween all the ~plot~ aka action and thriller elements because these moments are as essential to the narrative as the rest. the flashbacks aren't just flashbacks, they are the key to understanding the characters who are the main vessel for the themes of the show. why is mihyun's and doosik's episode called "humanists"? why is juwon's called "monster", then "romanticist"? you will know if you pay attention, and then you will understand the entirety of it better.
Feeling a bit down so I had a quick re-watch, wishe there were more dramas like this where i actually love the…
i really recommend king the land based on what you mentioned! the relationship between the leads starts off on a wrong foot there as well, has amazing banter and when they get together it's really fully about them only and them getting through things together, but they're mature and communicative and have no breakups/noble idiocy/that kind of jazz going on. both this and her private life are my favorite comfort shows <3 i liked whats wrong with secretary kim and business proposal too which are kinda the same category but i loved king the land the most! the leads chemistry was also so good that they had dating rumors irl lol
afaik han seok kyu speaks regular seoul dialect, he doesn't speak any distinct accent. i did hear people say his manner of speaking is a bit unique but that could also just be his acting style
Oh they didn't show us what lee sanghee role here is yet
from that one still i feel like she's someone he meets in belgium and one of the few who supports him edit: "a Korean-Chinese person that Ki-wan met at a meatpacking factory in Belgium" https://namu.wiki/w/%EB%A1%9C%EA%B8%B0%EC%99%84

also i know like 15 other ppl probably watched it but doesn't Marie give such Ha Joonkyung vibes from IYWUM?? am i the only one? can't wait to see her, she seems very intriguing. i love seeing female characters that are allowed to be messy, dark, complicated. her juxtaposition to kiwan will be very interesting to watch
hadn't realized that ryu seung ryong was cast in this!! loved moving so i'll be tuning in to this. i am soooo glad we're getting more weird, quirky and creative dramas from netflix when it feels like they're just releasing dark gritty show after dark gritty show
happy 3 year anniversary to this silly drama 🥹🕊💕
