Question, what's your favourite western bl? For me it's, Love,Simon ,The way he looks, heartstopper and the one…
Heartstopper, Young Royals and season 5 of Elite! Patrick and Ivan (Elite) are my go-to at the moment when it comes to Western BL, I think they have one of the most realistic love scenes I have ever seen on TV!
So... A lot seems to have happened in the comments since I was last here.
I was just going to ask a quick question, although it will probably be swallowed by the number of comments. Will we get to see Kinn acting a little loco i.e attempting spearfishing in the next episode?
I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this before as there have been so many comments BUT what do you think Kinn is saying to Porsche during the close up shot of their faces when Porsche is taking off Kinns pants?
Oooo you think? That scene wasn't in the novel was it?
That sound pretty accurate! It's nice being able to talk to people about theories of what will happen as I have no one else to talk to about it. I try and talk to my partner about it and he's never impressed with what I watch :'D
Just chucking my two cents in following a comment I read but can no longer find as there have been so many comments since!
Some people are leaving comments trying to 'invent' consent for Porsche whilst he was under the influence of drugs. Being under the influence and initiating sexual contact doesn't equal a person's consent, especially if one of the participants is coherent in their actions.
I personally choose to believe that it was something that Porsche wanted as even though he was under the influence of something he was pretty coherent (headbutting Vegas, throwing up part of the drug, and remembering the kiss at the pier). Hopefully, he won't regret it too much in the next episode, especially as he doesn't have the same internalised homophobia that he did in the novel.
One of the reasons I believe I'm not repulsed by the scene is that I've read the original novel, so I knew what was going to happen in this episode and I guess I expected it to be a lot worse... I don't want to upset or trigger anyone with that statement but if you read the novel you would understand what I'm saying.
However, the scene needed to happen as it is important for the rest of KP's story and relationship growth. Like others have said before, the characters in this story are not good people, they hurt and kill others among other things and even though this show started with a lot of comedy that does continue throughout, it is actually very dark and as we've seen in the latest episode it turns dark very quickly. Even with this people still like certain characters and want the best for them, even though you know they are not good people.
It's a shame there is a lot of condemning and reprimanding between people over the issues in the latest episode when we should all be able to discuss this as adults, everyone that is watching this show should be an adult and be able to express their views and not be judged by others, whether they agree with what happened or they don't.
Even if it was an ad it was one of the best shots of the episode! After reading the novel I knew I was going to like him in the show and Tong is just amazing!
