I love how intense this drama was. The ending was a bit sad since it is the reality. It's happening. After all the gruelling investigation and evidences, the people who are supposed to stay behind bars simply slip through them. It's really sad. :(
This is an awesome article!!! I initially knew that the cases were actually based from true crime records but I've never read an article with such detailed comparisons. This is such a good read since I loved Signal. Thank you for sharing!!! ^_^v
It definitely has a sloooooooow start. There are no problems with the actors, it's the writing and the pacing of the story that's making things unbearable.
I love the cast here, and none disappointed me in any way, but I didn't get what the movie is all about. The ending…
@BrightestStar I had to rewatch this two times to actually understand it. Lol. I did enjoy it for the mystery, if you have the time you might want to read a detailed synopsis, read about the illness Synesthesia and rewatch it. You have to have a mindset on seeing double meanings on everything. Like the in the beginning of the movie and the ending. For both the main characters it has a double meaning, what we see as a viewer isn't exactly how they they see it. For them it is different. Everything is explained in the ending albeit vague... one would have to really focus while watching.
Lastly while re-watching the movie always think that you're in the shoes of a person with synesthesia. Having the same perception of the two main leads who has the exact same illness that's when the movie would make sense. ^_^v
I would love to discuss this movie with you if you're interested! ;)
ahhhh... no wonder it has a lot of episodes. that's bound to happen if it's a novel adaptation. If it has that much of episodes in it, hopefully they got the most of the storyline intact with the drama. But 50+ episodes for a modern drama is seriously killing me. T_T I'm used to watching those long episodes for historical ones. I really hope they make season two better than season 1.
I've seen the first season and enjoyed it. But that was already 42 episodes and had a lot of fillers. I wonder what else they are going to add in this one. This is bound to have a lot of fillers again for sure.
Wasn't super feeling the ending, and there was middle filler, but other than that this was still very good.
@Light I feel the same way about the middle filler. There were actually a lot. They could have finished the story at around 14 episodes but still.. It's nice to have the lovey-dovey moments of our main characters despite having a filler.
Ok but, these are doctors, and nurses and just people with a medical education, so the prejudice against the HIV…
Chingu, I think this it has something to do with the korean culture. They are big on prejudice when it comes to A LOT of things. So I guess the main message of this episode is how Koreans look at AID/HIV diseases. Medically speaking, the fear of getting the risk of having the disease was amplified by the prejudice itself. It's sad, but this is a reality in some country.
Thank you for writing this review, it was really helpful and a big contrast from the ones I've read so far. I have seen the movie but paused it and contemplated on dropping it since I couldn't understand it's concept and WTF was going on. But now that I've seen a different perspective I can see this movie in a different light and give it another go. ^_^
I was finally able to watch this movie and it was definitely enjoyable. I would agree with the nostalgic moments in life and the people who became a part of your life but eventually become a good memory as life goes on. I felt really sad at some point in the movie though. How could such a guy like Yonosuke be simple a fond memory and not a part of their current life? It's weird how Yonosuke was a vital part of those people's lives but then he was simply forgotten. Albeit for his rich girlfriend... another thing that made me tear up was when I realized he actually died. At first I was in total denial. I thought that the guy who was on the news simply had the same name. T_T Overall I enjoyed the watch. It's not for everyone since it has a really slow pacing. Thanks for the recommend!
