After reading this, I think I'm putting in "The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker" in my PTW list. I really hope I find a downloadable link for this. :)
This drama is not close to secret at ALL, but it wasn't waste of time. I think the problem with this drama is…
Ah... I really didn't have any special meaning with my comment. Now that I read your post again, I guess I missed out to interpret that you were pointing that both dramas are very different despite the comparison done. I simply stressed what I understood from the recommendation. I also have no special say on the recommended drama except for my literal understanding on the post since I haven't seen Secret yet. >_<
What I know about it though is that it's about a woman who got into Jail even though she's not guilty. I've put it into my PTW list too, but it's not in my priority list though. I read so many mixed reviews about it. BTW, what makes both dramas very different? I don't mind being spoiled. :)
I'm at episode 30 and I'm freaking pissed off with the writers and producers. WTF are they doing with the story line? They've already killed off a kid and brought him back to life after 30 years because the kid didn't really die and they get to reconcile him with his mother and now... they bring a dead husband to life just so to make the story more complicated? I feel like I fed myself something really really rotten when I came to this episode. I definitely do not like where this story is headed to only to make things more complicated than it already is.

I think the recommendation made by @Stoofie comparing it to Secret is more on the framing part. Where a woman was put to prison for a not-guilty cause. Suffering injustice along the way because of that.
That accidental kissing scene in episode 9... that was just... graaaah! I couldn't even say it was cute because…
If that was Jin Yan's first kiss, then the talk about him being a virgin was not far from being true. Hahaha!!! I was laughing through that scene when everyone was talking about him and they don't know that he's actually listening through Jian Yao. >_<
This is awesome. Thank you for sharing Eita love!!!
BTW, here are some dramas I would like to add to your list of Eita goodness:
Nodame Cantabile, he acted as the violinist Mine Ryutaro, his acting here was so wacky yet heartfelt. His love for playing the violin and following the woman of his dreams definitely made the me root for the 2nd character role he played.
Atsu Hime, his role was Kimotsuki Naogoro - he became the heroine's best friend and was one of those people who made a difference during the Closing of Edo period into the Meiji era. This is the first time I've watched him in a Taiga drama, and he made me want to check out more of his works.
Voice, his character as Kaji Daiki in this drama is one of those genius guys who has a great analytical skill and investigative prowess. It's like watching CSI except, they focus more on the dead body instead of in the evidences.
