I am watching Unexpected - Love Story in Maison Ginseiso on Viki. I had to Google search to find it on kisskh. I added it as also know as but my addition was not accepted?!
I love both ML and FL from previous shows they have been in; the reality TV setting killed it for me and it was just too boring to watch. Better luck next time?
This is my favorite kdrama of all time. I could watch ep. 1 over and over. So beautifully done with Sam Soon's imaginary scenes and interactions with Sam Shik-a. The side characters including his mom are vivid.
I also love the sound track: The Girl from Ipanema comes on softly as she is leaving the hotel. Mac the Knife when the jealous head waitress looks at her before they sample her cake and cookies.
ep. 2 love how the assistant talks in her dialect and then Sam Soon can't help lecture the player customer dude about the cake while indirectly chastising him about having a mistress.
Each of these early episodes stuffed so many tropes in clever different ways and unexpected situations it feels like I have watched 6 episodes.
i am not going to read ahead in the comments, since ep. 1& 2 have been fantastic. However, I can already see that the FL is like a ninja one second and a crying incompetent mess the next.
I am loving it so far but am prepared for disappointment.
Wooookie!! Loved loved loved this! I haven't wanted to marathon a show in ages. Loved ALL of the characters; the dialog was very tight. Still going strong at ep.8!!!!
Great article! I was watching 20 shows but not really feeling interested enough to continue any of them! Another Miss Oh was very good; also recommend Hospital Playlist and Our Beloved Summer. Run On was quirky and fun I loved the ML and FL characters. My Lovely Samsoon is my favorite in the last 10 years. I missed that light charm and magic and that magic is hard to come by.
Once you're hooked the Quantity Paradox kicks in: The more you watch the fewer great ones you see.
the MDL score is right on; the CGI was very well done; the actors were all very good. The writer let us down. 50min in and the story had not progressed.
