I hate the aunt. I have a feeling that deep down, she is jealous of her own niece. That's why she's always opposed to everything Jae In does. Because just like Miran, Jae In is a female Kang. Miran is obsessed with the notion that the eldest son of the Kang family must inherit the company. She couldn't inherit the company because her brother was the eldest male, so she never had a chance at all, and decided to be with Patrick. But of course, she decided to part with Patrick and give up her baby to her brother due to family pressure. Now, take a look at her niece. JI is a legitimate female heir to YL Group, not an illegitimate son whose father is not a Kang like SW. She got to marry the person she wanted without much opposition from her family. Even after everything that happened to JI, you'd think her aunt would sympathize with her niece (Miran was cheated on and divorced, too), but Miran still seems to envy her niece for what JI still has. JI has her bro, SW's love. So, Miran decides to use her son to get what she wanted all along: YL Group.
What irks me is that Miran thinks she lost her child like Jae In and Do Hee's mom. Um, no, lady, you chose to abandon your child, and now you reap what you sowed. I won't accept a redemption arc from her until she kneels before her niece and apologizes for everything that she said and did to JI. I hope she's sent abroad and never comes back at the end of the show. She doesn't deserve a happy ending with Patrick or SW.
I'm back from my vacation, so I held off watching this show. I missed a little over 2 weeks of episodes. I hope these next 13 eps I missed are worth watching.
I looooooove your description of their actions LOL LOL LOL LMAO IT IS HILARIOUS!!!! I cannot decide which one…
I'm glad I gave you a good laugh! :) these makjang dramas can be so frustrating to watch (especially stupid people doing stupid things) that i tend to watch them through a comedic lens.
So what I'm getting is that there are 3 to 4 different revenge plans going on: 1. Dr. and Jae In's plan (i honestly don't know what they have accomplished lol) 2. Clean-Shaven Uncle's plan (he's just going in and out of the YL building and trying to invest in the company?) 3. Mystery Person's plan (so far, this person has been successful in getting small wins for Jae In without her lifting a finger)
They all just need to Avengers Assemble and take down the Satans together lol
To be fair (to the writer & Jae In), there is a convo in an earlier episode between the doc and her where he asks…
your logic doesn't make sense to me at all. Just because one's parents are criminals doesn't make them a criminal too. By your logic, children of the criminals would go to jail too even if they are innocent and didn't do anything wrong...

I don't really care whether the main leads end up together or not. I was talking about putting so much blame on Jae In as if she was the one who killed Do Hee. The real perpetrators are getting away with less hate scot-free (from the characters in the drama and the audience it seems). Jae In is an individual person. Blood ties or not, if the doctor likes Jae In as a person, then there should be nothing stopping them to be in a relationship. Forget about the blood ties and what someone's family member did. Look at Jae In as her own person. She's not the bad guy. I do agree that she needs to be honest about who she is and who her mother is to the Doctor's family. After that, it's up to the Dr's mom and niece whether to have a good relationship with Jae In or cut her off. On the other hand, if Jae In can cut ties with her aunt, then she could also cut ties with her mom later too. Besides that, justification is not necessary for these 2 or any individual to end up together. What kind of notion is that? When you like someone, you like them. If you want to be in a relationship with them and they accept, you can be in a relationship with them. And what do you mean its not organic? The doctor always ran into her in the beginning, tried to use her for revenge, and ended up helping her. He started to fall for her because he realized that Jae In is a kind, caring person and that she's not at all like her mom.
Se Ri wants to know who is digging into her background. So do I because they are getting all the tea.
whoever it is, they are doing all the work for Jae In lol. There's always that one character who does the revenge work for the FL smartly, and the FL just sets the revenge back.

tbf she wasn't the one who killed DoHee. But by Korean logic (since family connections are important to them), Jae is related to the murderers (her ex-husband and mother), and therefore, she's guilty as well by association. Also, her mom did attack Dohee for her daughter, but again, Jae In did not know what was going on then. I, for one, am not blaming Jae In for not knowing. I think Dohee was the idiot for withholding information from Jae In and her mom and got herself attacked and killed because she kept everything to herself.
sometimes i wonder why i watch this every day. it always makes me mad after i watch it. we really need to see…
I'm taking another long break from this drama. Binging the episodes on 2x Speed makes this mess a little bearable to watch. I also read the comments and spoilers to know what nonsense to expect from the characters.
I think Yu Gyeong's dad may be behind it. He's investigating Se Ri per Jae In's request so maybe he contacted…
Seung Woo doesn't seem to like or trust Seri, though. Unlike the aunt, he seems more tender-hearted; he didn't like the Satans' wedding and wanted a correction to be made about the real Kang Jae In in the articles.
Also, who was that streamer, if not Jae In? Is it the doctor? It can't be Patrick because he seemed surprised as well... It would be a great plot twist if it were Seung Woo, helping his sister behind the scenes. He doesn't seem to have any ill will towards Jae In. Or... could it be Do Hee?? Wouldn't surprise me if she were still alive and faked her own death to get revenge lol.
