I don't think anyone was expecting smooth sailing. there are still many unresolved problems. but the episode was poorly executed and changed course on FL's character development

yup, the cliches killed it for me. I don't mind occasional tropes but they were poorly executed and hurt FL's character development, turning her into a dumbass staring at an oncoming truck and breaking up due to an ex, so self-unaware of what she did with minhwan

haha. i get what you're saying and generally agree. but ml gets added at various instances, especially that cool one-shot fighting sequence in school where the kid and ml switch places back and forth, which probably took hours of shooting to do right. fl apparently poured her soul into those lines that they had to stop several times during the script reading because she started crying

Seems like there will be plenty of flashbacks like in Our Beloved Summer. Gyeong-tae said Yong-pil hasn't dated in 8 years, but Sam-dal has been in Seoul some 15 years. His friends said she dumped him, but her sisters said he dumped her. Both sides were supported by flashbacks. Seems like both stories are right--at different points in the past.

plot is slow. it's character-driven and action-focused

several episodes are very gory. those scenes are easy to anticipate and can be skipped. I recommend that this not stop you from watching the series

He starts to appear in Ep 7 and his story starts to be told in 8 and 9, which is worth the wait!
