I don't understand it either. I don't know what 'Bible having 21' means, did you mean Jes was likely 31 when they filmed? I don't mind actor age gaps as I'm hoping they are all professionals but hiring actors under the age of majority (20 in Thailand) just seems like a bad production decision that can bite them later on... hopefully everything works out okay.
