BL Compilations

The main issue is they spent waaaayyy too much time on the female character and the family drama. If they didn't have the budget for enough screentime to include those elements, then they needed to cut them out and focus on the main and side couples. I've been meaning to re-watch and update my review with some watch suggestions where we see the 1 character's background earlier which would also help me root for their relationship more but haven't gotten around to it.

I updated it to have the spoiler tag but I thought it was fairly general, which part/s did you feel ruined the whole series?

I totally agree with you. I think MosBank are being let down by writing, they really have amazing potential and with a great script/direction/editing, they would be unstoppable.

It can be really disappointing when a trailer or a book is great and then a first episode is...lacking. I'll try my best to finish this series and update my review, though the 2x speed button may be used liberally

I try to give first episodes the benefit of the doubt. I'll update my review after a few more episodes air and if it continues how episode 1 went, then it will definitely have a lower score than an 8

All of my reviews are my opinions. People have different experiences, which change how they experience/enjoy fiction.

there was an important scene at the end of episode 3 that wasn't in the cut version but then they added it to episode 4, so no, no noteworthy difference that affects the plot

overall the cut and uncut were very similar with the uncut having longer kissing scenes, for example in episode 1, there was a members only video of the kiss that was longer, maybe another minute longer (I no longer have the membership to double check)

ah okay, yeah I think this is a pink film, it has 4 explicit scenes which is similar to a few others that I've seen

I'm not sure what prawny is but I'll give an overview of the plot, a guy in his 40s takes a magic drink to turn back to his 20s, he then hooks up with his crush's son (didn't know that at the time), he then learns it's dad/son, then he hooks up with the dad/his crush and then he ends up with the son (but he has reverted back to his present age at the end), so it's basically a love triangle with a guy, dad and son but thankfully the dad and son don't hook up

the whole beginning part isn't mutual love it's abuse (power and control) and even then the twist means none of that was real, the end part is 1 sided lust so I would not categorize this as BL

I'm happy you enjoyed the book and the drama. There were parts that I liked and if they had narrowed the focus then I would have enjoyed it significantly more.

I judge series on their own merits. Many people don't (and sometimes can't because there aren't translations) read the source material. A good adaptation means people don't have to have read the source material to understand what is going on.

if you stop it at 19:15 then you'll be fine, but yes if you watch to the very end it is a cliffhanger which was annoying

I think iQIYI might be the same amount of run time but allotted differently so Gaga was 6 episodes at 20 minutes = 120 minutes, maybe it was 25 episodes about 5 minutes each on iQIYI? kind of like how Spirealm was different episode numbers but the content was the same, I really have no definitive answer though

I still think it's a bit open to interpretation, it could be a dream. If they are in the original world, then I wish they wouldn't have shown them jumping which added unneeded confusion.

I haven't seen any information about more episodes/second season but that ending requires more episodes because it's such an odd way to end a series
