First Impression: Moon and Dust
Overall: decent so far for an indie series from China. 6 episodes under 15 minutes each. Airing on PPeachStory YouTube channel https://youtu.be/81-EFRHQbXE?si=XlJ0V6IjmBTRA0no This production also made Uncle Unknown.
Content Warnings: arson, past child abuse, past beaten up, violence, coercion
What I Liked
- visuals
- tension
- how the younger guy is the unhinged one
Room For Improvement
- the sound effects like the hits or footsteps are cheesy/unrealistic/too loud
- annoying how free episodes only stay free for 1 week
Note: the two are not biological brothers as the older guy says he adopted the younger guy in episode 2, but it does show that they were raised together (the younger one seemed to be in elementary school). Right now their dynamic/relationship doesn't bother me, but I can see how it might not be everyone's cup of tea.
