jarring tonal shifts
Overall: there was a gruesome murder and then it jumped to a lovey dovey moment, it's like there were 2 different writers and 1 wrote the murder mystery part and the other wrote the romance part. 10 episodes about 45 minutes each. Aired on Netflix https://www.netflix.com/watch/82653659
Content Warnings: multiple murders shown, blood, torture, held against will, manhandling, beaten up; (past: murders, drugging, repeated rape, non con recording/sharing/blackmail, near suicide)
Watch Suggestions (to focus on the romance part)
- episodes 1-3 you're on your own, note there are very graphic things in these episodes
- episode 4 watch beginning-8:20 (when the romance kicks into high gear), 41:15-end
- episode 5 watch 3:45-5, 6:30-11, 19:30-20:55, 29:30-32
- episode 6 watch 6:45-11:30, 31-42
- episode 7 watch 3:30-9:10, 40-end
- episode 8 watch 14-16:45, 24-28, 37:30-end
- episode 9 watch 11-13
- episode 10 watch 27:30-end
What I Liked
- good production value
- tension
- visuals
- mystery element
Room For Improvement
- tonal shifts from torture/murder/gore to romance
- a ton of nonsense stuff (what was with the "officers will check on you every 2 hours" when they knew who the targets would be?!!!)
- character rebuffed intimacy
- was not satisfied with who made it out alive in the finale
