First Impression: Echo of the Letter
Overall: glad we are getting more interaction with the leads. Based on a book that I haven't read and I review series on their own merits. 14 episodes about 35 minutes each. Airing on GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/9501/echo-of-a-letter-2026-e01 and Viki https://www.viki.com/tv/41807c-echo-of-a-letter
Content Warnings: suicide mentioned, past child abuse, mental health struggles
What I Liked
- interesting dynamic with one character supporting from the sidelines
- therapy shown and how the therapist called to check in on him
Room For Improvement
- not much interaction with the leads in the first couple of episodes
- AI in several scenes
- the dubbing, I think the actors spoke Mandarin and it was dubbed into Cantonese so mouth movements don't match (someone let me know if I'm wrong on the languages)
