I was SO unsure about starting Ticket to Heaven. Like, after episode 1, I had this heavy feeling in my heart and genuinely thought, “Oh no… am I going to cry more than I smile watching this?” 😭
But to my surprise, this drama turned out to be an absolute masterpiece.
The acting was ON POINT. Every emotion felt so real, especially Tanrak’s inner conflict. And I really loved the references and symbolism throughout the story. The moment Tanrak started listening to his own heart, and the way that trip was presented with the bitten apple as a reference to the forbidden fruit Eve tasted… I was like 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Those details weren’t just there for aesthetics; they actually reflected what the characters were going through.
And as a religious person myself, I could genuinely feel the weight of Tanrak’s emotions and the conflict he was experiencing. But when we got to the scenes involving the followers in the pockets… THAT BROKE ME. 😭 I felt so sorry for them, especially when you remember the context: it was 1996, they were in a religious school, and BOTH of them were scholarship students. There’s something particularly heartbreaking about seeing young people trapped between what they were taught, what they were expected to be, and what they were actually feeling.
Episode 5 especially??? It raised the bar SO high that I honestly needed a minute to recover. The tension, the emotions, the way everything was building… I was completely invested by that point.
And then episode 6??? The ending was EPIC. I loved how they showed the different paths of the characters we had encountered throughout the previous episodes. It felt like the drama was closing the circle and reminding us that every person we met had their own story, their own choices, and their own consequences.
What I appreciated most is that Ticket to Heaven didn’t feel like it was simply trying to tell us what was right or wrong. It made us sit with the characters, understand their struggles, and actually FEEL what they were feeling.
I started this drama expecting to suffer through it and probably cry my eyes out… and somehow I ended up thinking I had just watched something genuinely beautiful.
Definitely one of those dramas that stays with you after the credits🥹
arent there one or two special episodes of exactly that? North+Johan wedding that is. i think
nah there is 2 special eps but its basically just johan proposing to North and saying that they should have a wedding after North finish his studies, there wasn't an actual wedding and all and I wanted that
According to the book, Arthit and Dao get married first and the chapter is hilarious. Maybe that haha
omg omg omg omg NOW I want thaaaat 😭😭 I read the ArthitDao book, but I haven't gotten to the special chapters yet because I got way too excited and jumped straight into Love Upon a Time. But now I think I need to go back and finish those special chapters first. 🥹💖
I can't get over this show 😭 I wish they release a special ep to show the whole pairings living happily ever after..... maybe north and johan wedding ? 🫣🫣🫣
krit honey just divorce your way out this family cause at this point your dad is killing the mood for all of u, id rather if the writers waisted those scenes on some cringe love story of his friend with some sugar mommy/daddy than to give us this torture
IKR!! Don't know what I'm gonna do once it's over! T—T
i recommend reading the novel if you didn't it was good, im yet in episode 4 they changed some parts but they made the show so much fun... this was my first time ever to enjoy a show after reading it novel tbh
Just finished ep 10 too and I swear I was waiting for him to jump lol 😂😂😂 i will stop watching here for…
So basically I’m on a little BL break until March 21st 😅 We’re in the holy month right now, and I’m trying to focus more on worship and self-discipline instead of giving in to my usual drama-watching urges. I only started fasting today because I was on my period before lol, but now I can fully commit and I want to spend more time with God instead of binge-watching series. Also, I had SMILE eye surgery about 20 days ago, and honestly I think I’ve been overusing my eyes since I went back to work last week — phone + computer all day — so this feels like the perfect time to give them a proper rest too. The holy month should end around March 20th or 21st, so after that I’ll be back to BL mode again 🤭
I'm on ep 11 and Fan Xiao is literally unhinged. I really feel bad for shu Lang. I actually thought he was going…
Just finished ep 10 too and I swear I was waiting for him to jump lol 😂😂😂 i will stop watching here for now and won't be watching this serie again till the 21st of March but I really hope they get their happy ending 🙏
