I’m not used to watching vertical dramas, and when I tried this one, it really felt strange to me—maybe because of the way it’s edited. It seems like a lot of scenes and events were cut. It’s not that I don’t like the actors; I actually liked them in their other shows. But with this drama, I found myself cringing, and I didn’t feel any romantic spark between the main leads. I don’t think the issue is the vertical format itself, but rather the plot, the chemistry, and the execution. I’ll try watching other vertical dramas on iQiyi to see if I feel the same way.
