Yes, no character was left behind, which is a miraculous prowess! Everyone was relevant and every actor performed his/her role to perfection (except for Jiang Xue Ming - she was nearly as annoying as any sulky female character pretending to be adorable). I'm particularly impressed by Fang Xu's character development
I finished 'Hikaru no Go' yesterday, or should I say, this early morning 4am.
When I woke up, I immediatly had Chu Ying in mind. Exactly like in that episode when Shi Guang dreamt about him. I was scared and incredulous: is he really gone? I can't live my life without him! What will I do without him? I want to wake up from this nightmare and see my dear friend again!... I was so brokenhearted and distressed... like this terrible feelings that overwhelm you when someone very close to you die and you're still into a daze and still can't believe it...
It's incredible how I literaly identified myself with Shi Guang. For me, that's the true power of a heartfelt work of art. And it can only be attain with: perfect story + deft script + mastered directing + pristin acting.
Even when I remembered that it did not happen in my real life, the feeling of mourning was terrible! I can't believe Chu Ying will never come back! I can't believe I won't see them again! I even don't want to believe that they don't exist! Did all of this really happened?
This drama has so many outstanding qualities I can't even share and translate my thoughts from my native language to English without having a syncope from too much enthusiasm and excitment!
