Can't wait for the next adventure on this series! TotS helped to somewhat fill the gaps for me on the whole Wang family vs 9 families plot. The casts were all great but at certain pts I reli wish the drama production do better job on editing scenes throughout.

This is definitely one of the few k-dramas that I rated 10 at the end of everything because it just made you feel so good watching it in each episodes!

same, the plot seemed interesting enough and the cast real good, but then I saw that it's 70 eps....why??? ok,…
ok you please let know whether this is worth the time after you have started watching? i reli cant stand long dramas. the most i forced myself to watch was probably around less than 40eps and i was suffering even tho i reli enjoyed what i was watching lol. thanks!

Finally it's here this drama! Fave casts (expecting so much more of MSC than WC lol) and drama theme. Thank God less than 50 eps and let's hope, fingers crossed no endless repetitive of scenes as if we are all forgetful audience (horror experienced from last William's drama lol)

The explanation is different from Meteor Garden 2018 with the adaptation of others from the drama Hana Yori Dango.…
Ah I see
So you jus want to share info.

It's not a matter of finding ur reply annoying but more like puzzling since my issue is with the amt of recaps in beginning of ep3. However ur reply, as you put it, is to share on another issue. Hence the confusion.

Perhaps it may be more beneficial to post the link you provided as its own comment instead of a reply so that others who wondering the differences on the plots/backgrd can see the link and read it. Just a suggestion- you are free to do however you want best.

BTW, jus to clarify, I already had enough with a previous chinese drama with endless recaps/flashbacks in each eps so my 1st reaction when I saw MG2018 ep 3 with similar thing was to roll my eyes grumbling as I fast forwarded the recaps lol. Anyhow luckily only ep3 was like that. I managed to catch up all 6 eps now ;)

Hello i dont think you understood my comment. It has nothing to do with the storyline or plot changes etc that others talking abt. What im referring to is the amt of flashback/recaps of what happened in previous ep. E.g. 18 mins recaps of ep1, 2 content in beginning of ep3 of the version I watched.
On Meteor Garden Jul 13, 2018
Lack of time so only managed to watch till ep3. Pls tell the up to date episodes not filled with fillers of recaps at the beginning like what happened in ep3 - 18mins recaps like whoa you think viewers have memories failure something? :(

How is it considered as movie adaptation of Scarlet Heart when it has nothing similar to the drama plot except time travelling part and making use of some characters from the drama?
On The Ten Deadly Sins Jul 9, 2018
At 21 episodes this drama can't be considered completed right? It feels hanging the ending and can't even be considered as open ending. So strange. Nonetheless the show overall is interesting to watch on each investigations with each episodes not that long either.

IA on the liver part but I also was thinking maybe they just need a whole intact piece or that the liver has to…
Helan's 'father' wanted to teach Helan a lesson abt life as them (their specialness) and to discourage Helan from mingling with humans. They are creatures that are not supposed to mix with humans (re: the consequences of Helan's mother's action being with human and also how humans hunt down them using dogs, etc). It's why there are two factions after Helan left his 'father' whereby Helan integrated living amongst humans. The sacrificial of Huiyan has to take place at the specific timing as perscribed, which I believe why she was kept with Helan until the right moment comes. Yes I also agree we cant take everything the Princess said but based on her convos with Qian Hua, the Princess is just someone who supported not mixing with humans and judging by the way Helan runs things, the Princess is scheming to get rid of Helan (who is part human and considered a disgrace) and what better way than to provide ill advice that will harm Helan.

Additionally I read a comment fr someone who read the novel, that since it was Helan's father who put this 'curse' to Huiyan so the key to break out from this cycle of deaths is Helan's father. Not sure if you are ok with spoiler so not going to elaborate.

I have yet got the time to catch up with the latest episodes and finale myself so pardon me for this sudden reply like this.

Yes it was consumed as liquid. However I was thinking with Chinese and the ancient ritual stuff, the process of sacrificing the chosen one and removing the liver is probably more significant as a way to restore night sight for Helan who is half human. So to me it's not abt amt and method of consumption. Just my opinion. Also we dont know actually know how much of the liver being turned into the liquid for Helan to drink. At least I dont recall this being mentioned but I could be wrong.

I dont think I grasp your 2nd sentence/qs. I recalled it was initially being said Helan's father wanted Helan to remember as life lesson not to fall in love with humans and Helan's father made use of Helan and Huiyan on this part. But when Qianhua met with the Princess, I recalled the Princess stated the girl/chosen one has to fall in love with Helan. So this part was bit confusing for me too.

Or maybe I just recalled things wrongly since I watched without engsubbed and sat all eps in 1 go and possibility of listened wrongly or misunderstd what being said are high lol

Per my understdg thr was no particular sickness on the baby except he just cant see and the only way for him to regain his eye sight at least night part is to consume the liver of the chosen 1. Helan's father already acknowledged Helan as his own son and fr his pov Helan's eye sights are important sine he will be the future leader once his 'father' retires. Can't let Helan continues to be blind and expect respect fr his followers. (This is me trying to think fr Helan's father pov as King/leader).

Initially it was said Huiyan was only killed when she reached the ripe age bcoz Helan's 'father' wana teach him lesson on not to love a human (since Helan's mother died due to that) but then when Qian Hua met with the Princess,it was the Princess who said the liver has to come fr the chosen one who loved Helan. So this part was a bit confusing to me too.

Per the Princess, for Helan to regain full eye sight (daylight) he has to sleep with virgin Qian Hua.

Oh and abt the liver, I dont see it fr portion consumption but more on whole intact liver removed fr the chosen one regardless of how it's being prepared bcoz it's the ritual that counts. But of course this is just my idea. I dont think it was dictated in the drama and I did not read the novel.

Just for discussion and thx reading XD

You can live with 1/4th of your liver and it grows back to regular size. So, why all this tragic talk of killing…

So far this drama has been going down its unique path, with all the characters growing well and the story plot blending as real as it can be. So I seriously hope the writer/director do/did not go for the ending to be typical ending e.g., like PDH and LJA got together coz that would be way too common and meaningless.

"I don't really officially drop a drama. I just start another one (which is more interesting) so I forget about the other one for months/years. So in a way, I technically dropped it but never "officially" decided to drop them on MDL (that's why it's zero)..."

^ This is what I do because I just refuse to drop a drama that I have already started watching lol. What I do is to put them onto 'On hold' first while I watch other new better dramas or movies and then to return to these on hold ones, if ever lmao See how we deceive ourselves sometimes? :P

Yes great article! Sometimes when I happen to read people asking and rushing the translators/subbers to release subs I get annoy at those comments because surely if they knew how much time and effort are being put into the entire process then they may think twice on the 'slowness'. Thank you to all those working on preparing subs and help break down language barriers :)
