In a way the title is a bit misleading for me that I almost ended did not watch this drama. Not that I have anything against children but the title gave an impression on theme of children abuse, which is a topic hard for me to digest and also it may have something to do with religion and politic power some sort (which I find boring so hopefully it is not becoming what I suspected) . Now that I started watching it I can see why it is titled as such to link with the female MC. So far at Ep5, good plot and the logic is consistent in the investigation so will continue to watch.

You can check on spoilers posted between me and KingLouie ard 10days ago. **** So my understanding is that the pollen potion only can be given out by the male MC to ppl he sees as needing help to push forward in love aspects. strictly not meant to be given to the person he himself love. the so-called rule of the tree (I guess something along the line not to misuse for own personal gain sorta thing). Consequence of going against the tree rule is death i.e. the person he loves whom he gave the pollen potion to drink will die (hence the whole true love will not come true who uses the pollen potion comment - which in is the most confusing statement in this drama although could be due to meaning lost in translation from KR to ENG or just bad statement lol)
As such, I'm guessing the male MC either gave the drink to his own mother (I don't recall seeing who male MC gave the drink to) and then male MC's father wanting to prevent the death of his wife (male MC's mother) is by killing himself (although theoretically still not workable to me since not really male MC's father who gave the drink to his wife in such case unless of course love from son to mother also counted) which then resulting in male MC's mother also died maybe due to grief of losing husband <- this seemed the be the case as revealed in Ep13. I also added comment abt how since potion drink made by husband so that was what matter instead of who served the drink (in this case MC as the son).

So ep13 basically revealed my theory/assumption 1 (ie father suicide to save mother whom MC gave potion to drink by mistake) is correct? XD But again like I said since not the husband who gave the potion drink but the son who gave so it's a bit far fetched for me to accept (unless they gona say the potion drink made by the husband so regardless who served the drink lol)

My understdg is that the red pinkish color means the person in love or has good feeling to another person so when MC sees this it is a sign for MC to give the love potion so as to give a push to the person to confess his or her love or at least make progress. The greyish bluish color indicates bad evil aura like meaning to harm another person since MC sees them on bad persons in the drama.
This drama got better for me at ep 7 and 8 especially when the two MCs talked metaphorically to illustrate life and relationships (before these 2 episodes I was almost to point of boredom). Same goes for other characters. I'm not sure if it is just me but I think writer-nim like the characters talking in circles and indirectly lol But interesting to see how everyone in this drama just hanging in there facing their up down lives.

Another possibility is that male MC gave the pollen potion to someone he likes when he was young and in order to prevent catastrophic death, male MC's father offered to the tree to sacrificed himself to save his own son's mistake and with the death of male MC's father, the MC's mother also eventually died due to grief haha pardon my imaginations and lengthy explanations.
My take on this drama is just to watch it for the simple romance story (it's the MC male first love exp) and not to expect anything from the plot. 16eps and we are at ep12 currently and yet no critical development in terms of plot except some mysterious talk on the tree and the drink potion that still makes no sense to me. In fact I find it contradicting on the drink potion part but oh well I still continue have good laugh on the so-called 'love triangle' (casts are doing their best imo so it helps) so I will definitely complete watching this for sure.
Watching super slow only at Ep12 for me. Great characters development so far albeit slow progress though after all this is one hella slow unraveling drama plot imo. As a psyc and counseling major I couldn't help but to analyse them characters especially on the siblings' interactions and the couples as well lol Beautiful landscapes and outfits too.
ikr..as I mentioned earlier in the series, I feel like an idiot being reminded time and again with the flashbacks…
Yes IA on the female lead comment and (hi5!) using the time during flashback moment to check on my social apps and even reading articles for my thesis lmao! Although BBH acting is so-so here imo but the female lead character is definitely a great asset to this drama in making it standing out than usual (despite still being commented as 'all females become low IQ when in love' in the drama) romance.

I'm at ep20 now after 2 days of watching/catching up. Yeap thank God for the fast forward feature lol. I am not giving up either because the storyline is good imo, there is this thickness plot behind all the girls chasing line. Plus the whole drone business is quite interesting to me too. I can only say no wonder so many eps when there are so many flashbacks XD
The amt of flashbacks in this drama just mind boggling to me! I practically able to recite their dialogues in those flahsbacks gosh. The only thing keeps me continuing to watch this drama is the storyline, the convos that are funny at many times and of course everytime William Chan smiles lol
