All I can say is that I lost count on the number of times I rolled my eyes at many of the scenes filler that coulda been used better to illustrate the story flow better. It’s the 1st time I’m watching a Thai BLdrama in which I rated it good (I reli like the food scenes hahaha) then had to change the rating to lower scale as the story progress lol It’s reli a pity coz I think the storyline would be good and frefreshing but some scenes just so bad in the editing and outlining the plot :(

Reading the comments here I am now even more hesitant to start watching this drama lol I really like Ding Mo but this happens to be one of my least favorite work (referring to the novel) hence why I have been putting this off like forever.

Ah I just feel that thr was no such need to add more characters in the plot when clearly the hero is already hands tied with the fairy sister and his love life lady.

Also on contrary per my understanding fro the convos in the drama, the hero was being teased or comments diverted to him in that way to indicate he does have girls crushing on him left right center despite it all - because once they get to know the hero, he is not all that bluff and turned out to be really a good person born to be a hero, which is his character development in the story. After all this is a wuxia novel :)

It's the same lady who found the male lead initially as shown in Ep3. Just that now they added the female voice (the female lead voice) calling out his name which added to the confusion after the whole rewinding as if, like you put it, dreamed everything up. But to me, it was not dream at all. Like I was explaining to another commenter, I see the rewinding as a conclusion to wrap up the ending - the beach was a signifying moment/place representing a new life for him and from thr onwards he met with the female lead. And the female voice calling out to his name is just to represent that it was meant to be all along for them to meet, ever since from the moment the female lead was introduced to him by the female lead's birth father. It's all abstract in a way. But of course this is just my interpretation and you have yours :)

Anyhow, totally agree on the bulletproof vest part. It was such a huge operation and how is it the female lead who is a cop not wearing a vest and had to let the captain to give his to her?! Even if they wana kill of the captain also it has to be a better way than such a lousy not making sense error lol

The beach part, I don't think thr was error. IMO they just wana 'refresh' us that male lead was found thr and now the couple had returned to same spot to get wedding pic taken and to meet the doctor who was kind to the male lead at that time.

I'm sorry again that I couldn't recall any of the characters' name by now so pardon the way I 'termed' them in my explanation lmao

Oh I went and rewatched the last part bits to recall back. My bad. I think you meant to say the whole rewind ending part showing him at the beach right? Ok to me that was just a round up of all that had happened from the moment he was found at the beach to meeting the female lead and regardless of what happened to him 8 yrs ago, he still hopes to spend the next 8 yrs with her. To me, it was a conclusion summary to signify their rships and his life - the beach moment was the male lead new beginning regardless of his past.

Oh sorry I watched it raw. I can understand usually more than 50% of the convos in modern Chinese drama. I only need ENGsub for words I don't know of ^^;

Forced watch until ep12 and at the pt of couldn't care less abt this drama anymore. Feels as if writer nim not sure how to develop the story and going round round while everyone stays frustrated. Understd rships can be such way in RL but this is is like aimless story plot and many unnecessary scenes that looked like fillers for me (e.g. the whole abroad scenes).

Which part in ending? Maybe can discuss? I just finished the serie.

Here to report I managed to complete this drama without dropping it. Phew. Not without huge struggles and endless complaining as I was watching it tho lol. All I gotta say is that in terms of criminal police related scenes the production team still a long way to go in making sense.

Down to final leg of the drama and still super exciting for me. Great story plot with convincing acting from all the casts incl the kids!

I am so close to dropping this drama or jump straight to the final few episodes (currrently at Ep30) Seriously struggling to watch each episode without fast forwarding. A lot of unnecessary scenes and too slow progress to get back on track to the criminal part/drug story plot. Even the romance part is fleeting. Can understand why there were news on how c-netizens critizing this drama. Preserving only because of WC and SM. I hv yet to drop any of their works so far and fingers crossed I won't lol

Ok so they gonna try to bring into scientific aspect into exorcism? I mean if not for what the mention of main male lead a former doctor. Will be waiting to see how the plot goes for this one. I did not and don't plan to read anything else (article news, etc) on what this drama about. Just gona dive in since horror haha and also for Yeon Woo Jin!

Watched this drama somewhat one-shot ep by ep and it has been great journey so far with the trios in hunting down the thirsty spirit haha. So looking forward to the eps leading to the eventual finale!

Not sure if you managed to watch all eps by now. I watched them raw from youtube Croton Megahit Official. Finale at Ep38.

I just completed. Open ending for me. For me, happy cause from the start this drama is about the youth days (the ups and downs) and the ending showcased how the female lead became mature and reminiscing life.

Lu Yu Chen (1st male lead) basically went on to do very well in his career after the problem with his stepbrother (same father different mothers) settled. Even came out with Beyond Light Years 2.0 game.

Everyone then got so busy with respective lives. Pan Qi got married. Han Guo Lun and Mo Xiao Lin got married. Zhen Lei busy with her lawyer career.

Zhen Xing (2nd male lead) told Xia Xiao Ci (female lead) that he is going to the US to further his career as it's 1 step closer towards his dream. ZX asked XXC if when he returns after 2 yrs and XXC still single, would XXC accepts his pursue again. To which XXC said if his ENG improves by then she would give it a consideration.

XXC published a new novel based on her youth days focusing on the Beyond Light Years game and college days. Her novel received a lot of attention and she even received offer to reproduce the content into film. XXC said in the novel she gave ZX and herself a good ending since in real life she could not do so.

There were a lot of flashbacks bcoz XXC was reminiscing on her youth days. This drama is afterall about the youth days, growing up and being mature, etc. XXC said she realised she could never get away from the game BLY that tied up with her youth days.

Then the final scene showed both LYC and XXC together like a repeated scene shown previously when LYC 1st returned to XXC after leaving her (refer Ep32), however here XXC narrated that just like that time, that year, in same place, the two same people meet again. So in conclusion, an open ending for you as audience to interpret whether they ended up together. BTW in this scene in Ep38, LYC actually called out XXC's name unlike in EP32.

Also wana add in comment that how ironic it is that the female lead has 2 guys who caimed to love her and yet move on to chase after their own dreams, career wise. Although in the 2nd male lead case, it's quite fair warning since he has been giving his best and kept waiting for the female lead to no avail lol.
