Great article! I'm now clear with xianxia and wuxia. I want to ask you guys. What is xuanhuan then?
Xuanhuan is pretty similar to Xianxia, but with a more adventurous side to it. Xuan means mysterious while huan means fantasy. Xuanhuan also has Chinese mythology, but there are more realistic parts to it as well. It's quite hard to explain, actually, but some only sources may help. I'll also consider writing an article about Xuanhuan.
I guess we just have different preferences. I rather love unrealistic dramas, especially Xianxias. I'm fine with documentaries, but it's not always what I'm looking for.
Nice article. I think more people need to understand the difference between Wuxia and xianxia more. Wuxia is more…
Great clarification!
As I stated in the article, I used very recent dramas. Chinese Paladin is certainly great (but I don't remember much of it as I watched it at a very young age), but I mainly focused on the ones more popular on MDL. :)
No matter what other people say, I still ended up giving this drama 11/10. Sure, some people have a problem with her personality, but I just love Mun Yeong. She's funny and bright, and makes great points. I also love Gang Tae and Sang Tae. They care about each other so much, and no matter the circumstances, the three are always there for each other.
So...you Deers out there...please don't attack me, this is just my opinion. :)
Congratulations on reaching the 14k comments milestone!!! (14,100, to be exact)

Don't worry, I've started writing an Intro to Wuxia! :)
