Great article! As someone who grew up in east Europe with classical kungfu movies, I'm very attached to anything…
Hi! This article is centered around Xianxia dramas. I'll be working on a Wuxia article, which will probably (and most likely) include JoL. You see, Joy of Life doesn't really include any Xianxia aspects. As I mentioned in the article above, Xianxia requires at least one demon or immortal, or immortal magic of any kind.
Xianxia is my favorite genre of c-dramas. Thanks for the article. Can you please tell me the names of upcoming…
A few I can think of are Ancient Love Poetry, Agarwood Like Crumbs, Immortality, Miss the Dragon, Mirror: Twin Cities, Love When the Stars Fall, Song of the Moon, The Blue Whisper, My Dear Brothers, and so many more unconfirmed ones.
Nice to hear a different opinion. Thanks for taking your time to write this comment. Better start watching better dramas to become an adult more quickly.
I have stated the differences between the two genres in the very beginning of the article. Wuxia dramas involve more politics, martial arts and sects while Xianxias feature immortals and magic. There are plenty of Wuxia dramas, including The Wolf, Princess Agents, Legend of Fei, and many many more.
I'll probably be writing an intro to Wuxias, so I hope you'll find that one helpful! ^^
