I am probably way off base with this or someone has already mentioned it and I just missed it but he had just…
i feel this is giving too much importance to insignificant impostor. I highly doubt she plays even a minor role in YD's thoughts and reluctance to believe TK about his feelings for her. It is all about Jinjja, her becoming a mother, there is no room for shifty shrew to appear, like at all. Because it is deceitful dingo who is self-inserting herself into their lives like the my immortal fanfic, while the leads could not care less about her existence. Yes both of them. They are way too busy with themselves and TK is fully lost now to "Head empty, no thoughts just Yeondoo" now mode on top of it. I would not be surprised if he would forget her existence would she not trail behind his father like a gadfly seeking out dung.
I do agree however that psychotic panda is most likely going down the hurting YD route to get her out of the way, as soon her joker of incompetence and cowardice (JH) falls through. Which could be very soon as cowardly bargain bin does not seem longer charmed by the drab drusilla.
I know that some of us want the relationship to progress faster but honestly, it would be completely unrealistic…
Yeeeees, so much this. As frustrating it may be to watch, as a child of a single mother myself, i totally understand Yeondoo. And you know it clicked when you were pointing out that TK is the son of a single mother. Because due to that he has the kind of understanding and insight about why she is pushing him away, that other men would most likely lack in the same situation. Thus he is much better equipped to deal with it too. Bless him.
And wow it is almost like the writer gave his background a lot of thought while structuring this story, huh? 😆
I think this show is perfectly paced. I mean, it's not a romcom. Kdramas usually have a 4 act structure, so a…
Oh thank f*ck someone in this hellish comment section gets it. I was beginning to lose all hope for people to understand its narrative structure, so thank you for this much needed pick me up.
I agree but he never needed to get over her in the first place tbh. Because he never ever liked her outside the…
Ah, that is what you meant, got it. Yeah from her pov, he is obliged to still like her bc he used to like her once as a teen over a decade ago. We saw how well that worked when illusory imbecile tried to invoke nostalgia with him that one time. I still can hear the record scratch as he told her how "it is all in the past" and got up to leave bc wifey waited at home hahahaha
"Why is Yeondoo so cold to Taekyung, can't she see he loves her? Why does she not give in to her own obvious feelings…
that being said, i do not think the writer is drawing that dynamic out over a long period of time. It gets too old fast, tbh. I feel 50% off bargain bin and psychotic jester will force their hands, and in effect push them closer together. I am optimistic we see good good progress tomorrow, for we already saw YD wavering however briefly. When she stood there gaping mouth-open at Taekyung when he told her she is absolutely worth it (for him changing his beliefs) so yeah, this man is completely down bad for her, no worries 😏
"Why is Yeondoo so cold to Taekyung, can't she see he loves her? Why does she not give in to her own obvious feelings for him, when he is so sincere?"
Short answer: Jinjja Long Answer: While it had been months for us in seeing it all unfolding, you all cannot absolutely forget the back and forth and eventual confession of his feelings happened in a few successive days in the story itself, with so much happening outside of that on top. No wonder YD's head is spinning and she does not know what is up and what is down. All happened so fast. I would need to sit tf down too, but she is not even given the time to digest everything. So of course she is defensive and closed off despite having feelings for him. She does not allow herself that, thinks she does not have the luxury as mother to be. Nor does she want to burden him with raising another man's child. So that is why she is pushing him away.
Taekyung also made life harder for him as it now needed to be with all the mixed signals given before he became very keen on pursuing her. So bit of a reap what you sow situation too, really. Hence our man needs to pucker up and show he is serious over a longer period of time for her to actually believe it and open up to him.
SeJin is upset and crying because she finally realized TK is finally over her. She didn't care when he was with…
I agree but he never needed to get over her in the first place tbh. Because he never ever liked her outside the brief stint when he was a teen. So that wording of yours is odd there hehe
Welcome to Meri’s weekly rambly summary for TRHC full of wrong assumptions and misheard dialogue bc my korean…
You and me both, in regard of his character in beauty inside. I really did not care for him at all there and skipped most of his scenes. I actually remember very little of his char or story there tbh.
Weekend dramas are a tough job in general bc there is so much dialogue and such a tight filming schedule with much of the script written along the way that it is all but easy to perform well. Especially as lead it is shitton of dialogue, all the time. Imo he was a lot more stiff in the starting episodes but now i really got the feeling that AJH has become Taekyung. He has found his way into the role that there is room for small subtle things in his acting, line delivery and expression to make the character more endearing, sincere and overall believable. It is hard to imagine that AJH only was chosen bc the prior lead had to cancel due to schedule conflicts. Because i cannot imagine anyone else as GTK now.
Father God hear me and give me someone like him plz 😭😭♥️
haha, ikr? I understand why all his prior gfs were so keen on putting a ring on him despite him telling them beforehand he would never marry 😏😆 Like... in this case you can't blame a gurl for trying despite the odds, hahaaha
Yeon Doo is frustrating me. Lady this man said he is IN LOVE with you and wants YOU!!! Hear that HE WANTS ONLY…
lemme c/p what i wrote in my summary:
I get her concerns tho, as he really did SUCH a quick shift into whipped husband and she is confused with what is real and what is a role played. She cannot even begin to grasp the concept of him falling for her with all the baggage she brings with her and Jinjja has highest priority anyway. But she also seems to not want to burden him raising another man’s kid. This is not his life and he should have a better one, without her. Problem is, she is not even giving him a choice here, again hurtling toward finality without considering what he actually wants. And that is the unfair part, while her fears are valid. TK really has his work cut out for him here. He has to show her clearly how serious he is, that he is here to stay with her AND the kid if he wants it to make it work. Oof. Good effin luck my guy, you will need it.
They get more and longer scenes together with each episode, so the writer is clearly setting them up as love interests.…
I um, have a list of insults i mix and match for this character if you havent noticed yet 😂 It basically came to be bc i could never settle on a "nickname" for her and now i am using ALL OF THEM hahaaha
If YD mom and SJ dad end up falling in love that’ll kill it for me🤣🤣🤣just picturing SJ’s face is…

TK: "Lets be honest with our feelings and figure this out together. I am serious about you in a manner that could forever alter everything i once believed." YD: "I am not worthy enough for you to change your beliefs. So don't!" TK: "I disagree. You are worth it."
i mean... look at this puppy of a man: https://twitter.com/silvva2323/status/1664971659974004736He is down bad,…
Since the beginning i would argue. It might not have been love love then but YD always always got under his skin right from the start and made herself a home there. The way he always went out of his way to help her when he did not need to and his disproportionate concern for her wellbeing/safety even when she was not around, were all telltale signs that he was a goner long before (now) realizing it hahaha
I mean, independent of JH throwing the first punch, who is fistfighting the ex with such a pure rage/hatred for a woman he just met days ago when there is no emotional involvement behind it?
From the start, Taekyung liked the photo-strip gifted to him by YD as a memory of their day there. He smiled when…
i wish i knew, as after reclaiming them from the trash, TK took them with him as he ran after YD, but haven't been shown since. I bet they are back in his wallet by now tho ;)

this was me, during that hahahaha

HE IS SUCH A GREEN FLAG 😭 😭 😭
