wow the series is really unpopular. maybe because most people expected it to be much better because of the cast,…
That's what happens when you allocate all the budget to sets, effects and cast etc and none to writing and script, Ending up with a turd that has glitter sprinkled on it, but is still just a turd in the end π₯΄π
One of those dramas that would've benefitted from being 12 eps, rather than 16.The last few eps felt unfullfilling…
I actually thought it was 12 eps, and now I'm stuck on eps 11 for weeks bc it drags sm already at this point and I dunno if I can manage 5 more eps of it π
I enjoy every second of this drama , its makjang so all the complaining is weird to me ... you can't expect a…
Finally someone gets it. Like, just tuck in and enjoy the wild ride, and this is doing iron family wonderfully. I really enjoy all of its chaotic comedic beats, heh.
Did you get to the part where they dig up the rest of the money? Also like yeah sure they ate out more..used money…
I see it more about how money slowly corrupts while being a necessary evil. All the problems of the characters (including ML's mother) stem from it, after all.
I can't understand how FL's mother says that Cha Tae Ung is responsible and all those nice words she said, when…
This is why I hate his holier than thou ass. Like for over a decade he watched them financially struggle and even collected rent and wages from them while making serious bank the whole time with investments? He even could have loaned them the money for darim's surgery but noooope? And then saying he would have loaned them money if they had asked bc 'they are family' Like no fuck you dude? Too little much too late on your high horse there.
in Ep 28, although the scene between GJ & his step-father/chairman has been rightfully praised here, one other…
Yeees. Not to mention his confrontation with the narcissist "father" at the end who treated him like shit and a disposable thing.

Someone cooked here (and it was both the actor KJH and his character, bless. So good to see him stand up for himself. I love GJ tons, there are a lot of facets to this character, good and bad (tho mostly all good as he is always learning from mistakes), and not a small part is thanks to KJH's acting/interpretation of him.)
Even heard by episode 19, male lead and female lead are not a couple at all. This is boring if it takes over 25+…
Given the circumstances all around them with everything imploding faster than they can breathe, and their shared past, it does make perfect sense for the leads taking their sweet time to get together. And even then, again due to the current circumstances caused mainly by Darim's fam, they can't be that fully without its resolution of it. It does keep you and them on their toes tho, and i am looking forward how the writer is handling that. Their kiss was very very adorable btw.
happy new year brobtw whhat is this kdrma about can you give me short summary
i still think that KJ will let the will of his grandfather go missing, since his mother then has no proof of possessing 10 billion won (or what is left of it by now with this greedy ass aunt idiot storing 1 billion in a public locker without even wrapping it into a bag and dropping a bunchπ€£ Bc otherwise they are all very cooked and the drama isn't able to come to a good conclusion and lesson learned that money baaaad if needed in moderation, more or less. Never mind the leads being able to be together which is already a clusterf... even without the complication of thievery lmao. I really appreciate the unhinged-ness of it all though. You could make a drinking game about characters finding the money under that mattress and/or getting entangled in it all in one way or another (stealing money from stolen money is very meta tbh), but i fear you would die of alcohol poisoning π (Like... who does NOT about know it at this point?)
That being said, i truly enjoy watching this show, that much that i keep collecting episodes like a squirrel nuts for winter, only to tuck myself into a blanket fort and watch them then all in a batch while giggling. (The leads' kiss was the most adorable thing, so very affectionate and raw of KJ with the eye-cheek-nose kiss at first.)
FINALLY I see a comment by someone who agrees with me about smls and it's from years ago π A 2nd lead is a…
Haha, what a blast from the past indeed, thanks for the reminder of it already being two years where i watched this show π But yeah, love triangles are never not annoying tbh, no matter the media, be it show, movie or book etc

Yeeeees. The pacing of the plot is giving now, as is the char dev of ML and the comedy (KJ posing as Darim made pics of him cuddled in the middle by her grandparents had me wheezing π€£) Sure there are characters I dislike, but unlike in other weekenders I don't feel the need to bash my head against the screen to make them go away π They are all very flawed people and the writing is sometimes fully leaning into soap cheesiness and its tropes as I expect it from a kbs family drama tbh, so that just adds to the drama's entertainment factor imo. Leads are very cute too and had been interesting from the get go. It's different from other kbs weekenders but in a good, comedic and chaotic way.

It being different is good though. I haven't enjoyed a family drama with all its ups and downs and absurd twists and turns in a while. It is very entertaining to watch and the comedy lands very often for me too, which makes its absurdity all the better tbh π Helps that KJH is really such a good actor, especially in comedic scenes and his Co lead is good too, they are so cute together. I love how everyone and their uncle is now involved in the thievery in one way or the other. Like a money spider web that keeps wrapping new characters in it in the most bizarre ways π
If you haven't seen since ep 5 yet, then I'll say that give him some time, because he's about to become so fond…
He is really multifaceted and i love how subtly KJH is portraying that... or in other cases with SML unsubtly with his bickering and such xD (His micro expressions used for comedic purpose crack me up ever since i saw him in mr.queen nglπ€£)
But yeah he is a great, flawed character so far who KJH really gives the needed life and zest and insecurities. Much better than your usual suave ceo, tbh.
well the lighter mattered to him a lot. that was referenced in previous episodes as well.
Also the lighter accident is there to throw a wrench into his budding feelings for Darim, since her family hates him now and he is on a long road of redemption before he can "be with her" ;)

Which is by design tbh as he isn't secure in either of his positions. He's overall a timid person who isn't confident with social interactions. He's also vying for attention (of his stepfather etc) and often not getting any, so it is no surprise he basically fell head over heels for darim just because she complimented his writing π
i domt get the description: her family has enough money that they can iron out their dreams instrad of being worried.
they don't. FL's mother always has to work a looooot to break even and all the chemicals also make them sick, see all of the grandparents illnesses. So it is hard, thankless work basically and the description makes no sense. Should update it to the one of viki, it's better.
holy moly 36 episodes i feel like im going back to my cdrama days
it's a kbs weekender/family drama, basically korean soap opera but this one here is quite different so far and more like a comedy drama. They normally are 50 eps but this year kbs has begun to reduce the eps to 36 with this one and 30 for the upcoming one. Makes for tighter more focused plots with less filler, hopefully.
