Unpopular opinion: I am actually very frustrated with the show and how it is handling such sensitive topics. I understand that SK has different standards, but when the show is calling out the wrong of some of them, why are they sending wrong messages with how to handle them? I'm on episode 11 now for reference and having a lot of trouble continuing to the next. For example, this show is saying that it is okay to be a bystander and is actually honestly reinforcing that it's still ok to treat people better if they're pretty and "not as pretty" as trash. It showed workplace discrimination and sexual assault and made it ok and just "how things go". It actually disgusted me. Honestly the whole future seeing thing itself is not needed. Would be very cool if it was another fate is pushing all of this to occur like wherever he goes. I do like the fact that none of the characters are perfect, but we also need some actual character development beyond "treating the person they like better than they treat everyone else". One major thing I'd change and wish theyd done to develop #1 and #2 OH is for #1 see her stand up to the real culprits of 1vs2: the men comparing them and the women letting them. Also how 2 honestly let's them do it. I think this could have been coolly explained as she has a dark side that honestly enjoyed the attention and comparison bc of the lack attention she got from her parents. She passive aggressively attacks others as well and just the scene where the best friend, brother, and brothers gf of the male lead were ready to hurt 2 but then see her pretty face and act all kind was disgusting bc of all the terrible crap they did to 1. Also how the parents of female lead annoy me and 1's codependency on them. That is not healthy doting, that is restrictive and abusive with how the mom straight up abuses her. She only felt bad when she found out she was the one dumped but honestly even if 1 did do the dumping, why should she treat her so horribly. It's funny that she mentioned how the ex fiance cared more about pride than her, but I see it in her parents too and their business makes so many situations worse just as the cruelty of male leader's mom did to OH. Also would be cool to hear a clearer explanation as to why 2OH is saying everything now beyond plot convenience. A simple explanation as "why should I be at fault for ruining a mother son relationship when the mother did it herself? I am the victim here". Just this could have been so much greater if the people behind it didn't walk on eggshells. If you're going to bring up these issues, don't use it as bait. Actually carry out the job. This could have been on level with SKY castle in terms of social issue discussion. But they are being handled way too poorly. If this didnt bring into account so many of these, I'd be all on board with the appraisal but it seems many are ignoring the actual actions occurring and just on the romance and comedy. I am going to finish watching to see if it gets better but I highly doubt bc it should have been fixed before I got to epi 10 by now. And 18 episodes? They added 2 more? I am absolutely baffled. I didn't even bring up all my issues with the male lead himself.
