i thought the Mafia was gonna kill them when they got to korea or wherever the boat was going. SO i read the manga just now and that definately didn't happen. the mafia guy was protective and worried about the legshot dude at the very end. As far as them killing themselves theory: Nah, the mood in the manga is waaay different from the movie. It's really lovey dovey. the actors in the movie didn't express all the lovey dovey emotions - i think they're too macho and conflicted (just look at the hospital scene 'closer...closer. *muah* ) and the "i came back" (for you) was not included (that the director's fault). what else? the shocked eye expression on leg-shot dude was missing from the movie a lot too. instead, the actor had a "yeah, whatever man" expression / resignation vibe going on instead of "WHAT?! You love me THAT much!? Blush" from the manga. anyways, lovey dovey couples don't kill themselves. especially ones that go "is your face still hurting? aww, here take this painkiller."
