Again, ML with childhood trauma who stopped growing mentally after some incident, I want to see a bit different…
This is a pattern for kdrama - rich and mean ML with childhood trauma, poor FL who fights back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.😆

I feel like ML knows she’s a girl when he hired her. This is good but I’m getting distracted by the make up of the ML. They made him too white. He looks more feminine than the FL.

I started watching this, and I can’t believe how good Tian Xi Wei is. She nails the villain role! it’s like watching two different people.
Her facial expressions, the way she cries, even the veins in her neck and face when she gets mad, all of it is so convincing. She’s not even afraid to get dirty. Plus, she’s beautiful no matter what she does. It’s amazing that one actor played both characters and got me rooting for one while hating the other.

Love ep 14, but XRH's acting is really taking me out of immersion. 🥲My girl can't cry or even show emotions…
She does have a beauty privilege. This girl can wear rags and still look divine.
I agree with you though, she looks perfect for the role, but her acting can still improve.

I also feel like this show isn’t for a lot of people and that’s okay! Just want to remind everyone this is…
There should be a trigger warning on each episode ☺️

Finished episode 13 and 14. Oh my gosh at this point I think YCX is beyond redemption. He needs to do something heroic for pingjun to forgive him and finally love him. And imagine being too pretty that two men fell inlove with you while picking coins on the street. 🤣
The second ML also isn’t worthy of Pingjun. He doesn’t love her enough. maybe it’s more admiration or pity on his part, but he’s too loyal to YCX to do anything for her.

Cheng lei did a good job because his character here is so fucked up but we’re still rooting for him to change. Lol I can’t explain it but wow he really is a good actor.

Episode 11 and 12, no turning back for aYCX. Our man has fallen too deep now. Episode 12, FL lead I think is starting to have feelings for him even if she doesn’t want to.

ML and his obsession is wild! The end of episode 10 is 🔥. Maybe it’s just me, but I want the ML to stay consistently bad and the FL smart until the end. I don’t want them to be tamed or dumbed down once they get together. I’m loving the end of every episode, so now I hate that I’ve finally caught up with the episodes

Could someone please explain this to me? I’m still struggling to understand their goals. So, LSC is trying to avoid karma and tribulation in order to work within the celestial court, while fairy WX seems to want the tribulation to happen and is after the sword to be prepared for it. She once said her ambitions go beyond the celestial court. Is she searching for someone? She doesn’t appear to be vengeful toward anyone, but she does seem a bit sad and depressed.

ARP and Ai Mi are really the cutest duo. Loving how mischievous they are and they are perfect for their roles. But why isn’t Ai Mi labeled as Main lead here? She has more appearances than SZN. So far up to episode 7 we only see visions of the FL, she’s more of a guest star here.

They are real locations and yes, they are so beautiful.
Wow! The budget was used effectively. It's the first time I've watched a Cdrama where every scene is visually stunning.

What I love about this drama is how it depicts everyone as a victim of circumstance, especially women. Each character has a backstory, and it all depends on how they handle it. What makes Tinyun stand out is her positivity and ability to make the best of their situation. The show demonstrates that women, though often seen as dependent on their husbands, can still exert influence behind the scenes. Beautiful writing so far plus the costumes are beautiful.
